Open Label Study to Assess Safety, PK and Explore Efficacy of OPRX-106 in Patients With Active Mild...
Ulcerative ColitisThis is a proof of concept, randomized, open label, 2-arm study of OPRX-106 in subjects with active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis. Eligible subjects will be enrolled and randomized to receive 2 mg or 8 mg of OPRX-106 administered orally, once daily for 8 weeks.
Assessment of Metformin as Adjuvant Therapy in Patients With Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative ColitisInflammatory Bowel DiseasesBrief Summary: This is a randomized, controlled study evaluating metformin tablets administered daily for 8 weeks. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of metformin in the treatment of mild to moderately active ulcerative colitis. Disease activity will be measured using Mayo score for ulcerative colitis activity. Calculation of the score requires patients to undergo colonoscopy at the start of the study and at week 8.
Comparison of Two Different Golimumab Dosing Regimens for Ulcerative Colitis
Ulcerative ColitisPartial response or loss of response to golimumab is observed in a significant proportion of patients started on golimumab for active ulcerative colitis. The current dosing regimen in European Union is based on patients' body weight as maintenance treatment for patients with ≥ 80 kg is 100 mg q4 weeks and for patients with <80 kg 50 mg q4 weeks. The investigators recent observations in a golimumab pharmacokinetics study of 24 patients however, show large interindividual variations in golimumab trough concentrations. Furthermore, it seems that patients with continuous response have higher golimumab trough levels at several time points during treatment compared to patients who lose response. Higher induction/maintenance dose of golimumab increases golimumab trough levels, therefore it is likely that higher induction/maintenance dose of golimumab would increase efficacy of golimumab treatment.
A Clinical Intervention Study of Tangningtongluo on Diabetic Foot Ulcer
Diabetic Foot UlcerPurpose and significance:With the increasing incidence of Diabetes mellitus (DM), the incidence rate of Diabetic Foot (DF) is raised. DF is a foot infection, ulceration and / or deep tissue destruction caused by nerve abnormalities and varying degrees of vascular lesions in DM patients. The high incidence, disability and mortality rate of DF make it urgent to explore new ways to improve the cure rate, reduce the burden and elevate the quality of life. Previous studies have confirmed that traditional Miao ethic medicine Tangningtongluo(TNTL) can improve the remission rate of diabetes mellitus and diabetic foot disease, but the clinical research evidence is not sufficient. This study aims to provide effective clinical evidence for the treatment of diabetic foot patients with TNTL by observing growth rate of wound, prognosis and outcome. Methods: From September 2021 to March 2023, a total of 80 diabetic foot ulcer patients admitted to Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University were recruited. Participants are randomized in a ratio of 1: 1: 1:1 into four treatment groups of 20 participants: (i) standardized western medicine treatment group, (ii) standardized western medicine treatment+TNTL tablet+TNTL cream group , (iii) standardized western medicine treatment+TNTL tablet group, and (iiii) standardized western medicine treatment+TNTL cream group. Treatment with TNTL tablets: the oral administration of TNTL tablets, 4 tablets each time, 3 times a day. Treatment with TNTL cream: topical application of sterile TNTL cream on the wound surface, the dressing is continuously changed according to the wound healing. Anthropometric parameters, serum biochemical index, glycosylated hemoglobin, urinary microalbumin/creatinine ratio, islet-specific autoantibodies(ISAs), fat mass, and islet β-cell function were measured. The healing stage of the wound surface and the growth degree of granulation tissue were graded, and the time required for wound repairing to each healing stage was observed. Type of study: randomized controlled, prospective, intervention study.
Cross-linking for Corneal Ulcers Treatment Trial
Corneal UlcerInfectious Keratitis2 moreThe primary purpose of this study is to determine if patients randomized to corneal collagen cross-linking plus medical therapy will have a lower prevalence of positive bacterial or fungal cultures immediately after the procedure than patients who received medical therapy alone. The secondary purpose of this study is to determine if patients randomized to corneal collagen cross-linking will have a better visual acuity at 3 and 12 months than patients who receive medical therapy alone.

Pressure UlcerTo assess the efficacy of the PRP Concepts Fibrin Bio-Matrix and compare its performance with usual and customary practice for the treatment of chronic non-healing pressure ulcers (PU).
Efficacy, Safety and Economic Benefits of Topical Wound Oxygen Therapy in the Treatment of Chronic...
Diabetic Foot UlcerThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and economical benefits of Cyclical Pressure Topical Wound Oxygen (TWO2) Therapy in the treatment of chronic diabetic foot ulcers. Subjects will wear a standardized off-loading device and use advanced moist wound therapy (AMWT) dressings. Following a 2 week run-in period with the standardized care and after meeting all the eligibility criteria, half the subjects will use the TWO2 device, while the other half will use a sham device.
Effectiveness of Aurix Therapy in Pressure Ulcers
Pressure UlcerThe aim of this trial is to demonstrate the effectiveness of complete wound healing in a prospective, open-label, randomized trial in which pressure ulcers will be treated using Aurix and standard care and compared 1:1 to patients receiving undefined Usual and Customary Care.
Low-level Laser Therapy Versus High Frequency on Pressure Ulcers Treatment
Pressure UlcerPatients admitted in the Emergency Service that have pressure ulcers will be selected by eligibility criteria and randomized into three groups according to the adopted therapy: wound dressing (CG); wound dressing + high-frequency generator group (GAF); and wound dressing + low-level laser therapy group (GLBP).
