Comparison Between Ticagrelor Versus Very Low Dose Rivaroxaban With Clopidogrel
Acute Coronary SyndromeAcute Myocardial Infarction1 moreA total of 50 participants diagnosed with ACS (group A ticagrelor 180mg/d, n=25), group B (clopidogrel 75mg + rivaroxaban 5mg/ d, n=25)) were consecutively enrolled and treated with study drugs on top of aspirin (100mg/d) for 1 month. VerifyNow® and Global thrombosis test were performed at day 2 and 1 month after administration of study drugs. The investigators compared aspirin reaction unit (ARU) and P2Y12 reaction unit (PRU), occlusion time (OT) which reflects shear stress-induced thrombotic activity, and lysis time (LT) which showed endogenous lytic activity between the two strategies at both time points.
Restore EF Observational Study
Coronary Artery DiseaseUnstable Angina3 moreA multi-center, prospective, observational, non-interventional single arm, study of the intermediate-term clinical outcomes collected from electronic health records of high-risk patients which have previously undergone standard of care prophylactic Impella support for a non-emergent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
The FAST OCT Study
TomographyOptical Coherence5 moreThis trial is designed to associate angiography-based fractional flow reserve (3D-angio-based FFR) values with optical coherence tomography findings in pre- and post-percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with non-ST segment elevation acute coronary syndromes.
Evaluation of the LVivo Image Quality Scoring (IQS)
Heart DiseasesArrhythmia6 moreThe study includes two parts: Part 1: 100 examinations of patient referred for echo evaluation, containing clips that were acquired from the 4CH apical view were collected retrospectively. Each study includes 10 clips that represent typical user scanning errors Offline evaluation of the system (by batch processing) shall be performed by comparing the system output to preliminary quality tagging by experienced sonographers Part 2: Live scans of apical 4CH clips of patients with indication for POCUS examination will be performed by POC physicians LVivo IQS shall be used (on Lumify) during the scan for patients that meet inclusion criteria until 50 exams will be collected. 3 sec of each scan shall be saved, and Image quality score (IQS) shall be documented Saved scans shall be reviewed by an expert physician to determine whether they are clinically interpretable
Safety and Effectiveness Evaluation of COBRA PzF Coronary Stent System: A Post Marketing Observational...
Stable AnginaUnstable Angina4 moreA multi-center, prospective, consecutive enrolled, observational registry. The population being studied includes all patients undergoing treatment of "de novo" lesions in native coronary vessels, saphenous vein graft and/or arterial bypass conduits with the COBRA PzF coronary stent system. The registry will primarily assess the rate of MACE (cardiac death, myocardial infarction and clinically driven target lesion revascularization.
Hemodynamics During the Soccer Championship 2012
Severe CardiomyopathyAngina4 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine in soccer fans whether and to which extend positive or negative emotions during the European soccer Championship affects Central Hemodynamics, Arterial Stiffness, Heartrate and Endothelial Dysfunktion.
Study Evaluating How Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome Are Managed During 2 Years After Discharge...
ACSAcute Coronary Syndrome3 moreThe aim of this international study is to describe the short- and long-term (i.e. up to 2 years following the index event) antithrombotic management patterns (AMPs) in patients hospitalized for acute coronary syndromes (ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), Non-ST-Segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome (NSTE-ACS)), and to document the impact of AMPs in clinical outcomes, economic variables and quality of life in a 'real-life' setting and to compare these between sites, countries and regions.
Appropriateness of Coronary Angioplasty in PAtients With isCHEmic Heart Disease
Non ST Elevation Acute Coronary SyndromesStable Coronary Syndromes2 moreAn observational, retrospective, multicenter, blinded adjudication study to evaluate the clinical appropriateness of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) indication and execution in patients with stable Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and in patients with acute coronary syndrome without ST-segment elevation (NSTE-ACS) (ratio 4:1). Half of the included patients will be diabetic. Also the implementation of selected, key guideline recommendations will be examined. At least 400 patients will be retrospectively selected among 22 Catheterization Laboratories in Italy in the region of Lombardia and Veneto. This study will be conducted in compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP) including the Declaration of Helsinki and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Understanding the Role of Autoimmune Disorders on the Initial Presentation of Cardiovascular Disease...
Myocardial InfarctionIschemic Stroke9 moreAutoimmune diseases are diseases in which inappropriate immune responses that have the capability of harming host cells play an important role. Evidence suggests that the presence of certain autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or systematic lupus erythematosus increase the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, this evidence is inconsistent for autoimmune disorders and no systematic approach has been previously used to study the relationship between a range of common autoimmune disorders and specific forms of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, intracerebral and subarachnoid haemorrhage, or venous thrombosis. The investigators will use linked electronic health records to investigate whether commonly diagnosed autoimmune disorders are associated with increased risk of CVD development and whether effects differ in men and women and change with age.
The Role of Alcohol Consumption in the Aetiology of Different Cardiovascular Disease Phenotypes:...
Chronic Stable AnginaUnstable Angina20 moreThe association between alcohol consumption and cardiovascular disease (CVD) has mostly been examined using broad endpoints or cause-specific mortality. The purpose of our study is to compare the effect of alcohol consumption in the aetiology of a range of cardiovascular disease phenotypes.
