Prismatic Lenses and tDCS in Neglect

StrokeIschemic

The goal of this study is to to evaluate the effect and feasibility of a rehabilitation protocol with prismatic lenses associated with tDCS, compared to a prismatic lens rehabilitation protocol associated with sham stimulation, in reducing the signs of neglect in a group of patients with spatial heminegligence following ischemic stroke of the right hemisphere. The secondary objective is to evaluate the impact of this rehabilitation protocol on functional outcome.

Pre-operative Targeted Treatments in Molecularly Selected Resectable Colorectal Cancer (UNICORN)...

Colorectal CancerResectable Colorectal Carcinoma

This is a window-of-opportunity umbrella platform trial enrolling non-metastatic resectable colorectal patients selected for the presence of a specific targetable molecular alteration. The study aims to test the activity of specific targeted agents/combinations given as a short-course pre-operative strategy, matched with the specific alteration detected, followed by standard of care surgery.

Amivantamab With Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors (TKI) for Advanced NSCLC With ALK, ROS1, or RET NSCLC...

Lung CancerNon Small Cell Lung Cancer

Although non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), c-ros oncogene 1(ROS1), and ret proto-oncogene (RET) gene fusions initially respond well to tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapies, acquired resistance is inevitable. In many of these cases, increased activation of the erythroblastic leukemia viral oncogene homologue (ERBB) or cMet pathways appears to be a bypass signaling mechanism that allows these cancer cells to circumvent the selective pressure from TKIs. Recent data have suggested that these pathways compensate for each other in situations where one pathway is inhibited, leading to "kinase switch" drug resistance. Thus, the expected inhibition of both pathways via treatment with the amivantamab and combination TKI combination may improve overall efficacy by limiting the compensatory pathway activation.

Protection Against Emboli During caRotid Artery Stenting Using a Neuroguard IEP® Direct 3-in-1 Delivery...

Carotid StenosisCarotid Artery Diseases

The PERFORMANCE III study is a prospective, multicenter single-arm, open label study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Neuroguard IEP® Direct System for the treatment of carotid artery stenosis in subjects at elevated risk for adverse events following carotid endarterectomy (CEA). Eligible patients greater than or equal to 20 years of age and less than or equal to 80 years of age, are those who have been diagnosed with either de-novo atherosclerotic or post CEA restenotic lesion(s) in the internal carotid arteries (ICA) or at the carotid bifurcation with greater than or equal to 50% stenosis if symptomatic or greater than or equal to 70% stenosis if asymptomatic.

A Study of BRII-297 in Healthy Adult Subjects

Postpartum Depression

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics of BRII-297 in healthy adult subjects. The main aim of the study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability after single dose intramuscular administration of BRII-297. The study also aims at characterizing the PK profiles of BRII-297 and brexanolone after single dose intramuscular administration. Participants will be enrolled in 6 cohorts (3 planned and 3 optional) with 6 participants per cohort [(4 active: 2 placebo) - Cohorts 1 & 2] and 10 participants per cohort [(8 active: 2 placebo) - Cohorts 3 to 6]. Randomization for each cohort will be a two-step process. Sentinel subjects for each cohort will include 2 female subjects randomized 1:1 to BRII-297 or placebo who will be observed for at least 24 hours to ensure no significant safety events before administering study drug to the remaining non-sentinel subjects. The estimated total duration for each subject is up to 43 days, including screening period (28 days), dosing period (1 day), and post-dose follow-up period (14 days). IM injections will be administered in the gluteal muscle. Each participant in all cohorts will begin their inpatient stay at the clinical investigational site on Day -1 and remain as an inpatient at the site for sample collection and assessments for 15 days post dose (Day 15). Participants will be released at the end of the inpatient period.

Digital Multimodal Rehabilitation for People With Post-acute COVID-19 Syndrome.

Post-COVID Syndrome

Although most infected people survive the infection, many have persistent sequelae or symptoms, which cause disability or decreased quality of life. The World Health Organization has called on countries to prioritize the rehabilitation of the consequences of COVID-19 in both the medium and long term, as this chronicity is expected to impact the health public and the economy in the coming years. RehabCOVID (also referred to as RehabNautilus) is born from the need to provide solutions to persistent cognitive impairment symptoms of people who have suffered from COVID-19. Thus, we will offer people with long COVID that accomplish inclusion/exclusion criteria to participate in a randomized clinical trial to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive stimulation therapy combined with physical exercise and mindfulness. The current project is a single-blind randomized control study, where we will compare two combined interventions with a control group that will encompass different functional, structural, and biochemical changes and interactions in the brain. We will study the effects that this combined intervention produces in the brain. We expect to gain more insight into the specific neuroplasticity mechanisms of cognitive persistent COVID symptoms.
