A Prospective Observational Study of Patients With Drug Resistant Acinetobacter Baumannii Bacteremia...
Acinetobacter BacteraemiaExtensively and multi-drug resistant A. baumannii (AB) represent an emerging threat in hospitals locally and worldwide. There is lack of prospective comparative clinical data to guide optimal strategy for treating such infections. Since it remains unclear how to treat bacteremia caused by AB, the present study aims to enroll patients at multiple sites with extensively drug resistant Acinetobacter species bacteremia receiving different combination therapy to assess treatment outcomes and analyze risk factors associated with mortality.

Research and System Development on Functional 3D Optical Tomography for Skin Cell Imaging
Optical Coherence TomographySkin Cell ImagingThe investigators will obtain human skin specimen (sized approximately 1 cm x 1 cm) for dermatological surgical patients in National Taiwan University Hospital, after informed consent was obtained. Human skin keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and melanocytes will be cultured from the human skin specimen. The three dimensional images of these cultured cells will be observed by a ultra-high resolution 3-dimensional optical coherence tomography.

The Use of Novel us Device (Jetguide) to Measure the Distance to the Roof of the IAC (Inferior Alveolar...
Comparison Between Ultrasound and Clinical MeasurementsThe purpose of this human clinical trial is to validate the accuracy of Jetguide® US device in detecting the inferior alveolar canal (IAC) and to compare it to measurements performed on computerized tomography images.

The Changes of CD4+T Lymphocyte Subsets in Septic Patients
SepsisSIRS(Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome)The purpose of this study is to explore the value of CD4+T lymphocyte subsets in cell immunity in the patients with sepsis. There are immunoparalysis in septic patients, the important player is the change of CD4+T lymphocyte, this immunoparalysis state contribute to the illness progress and outcome. Comprehend the change regularity of septic patients' cell immunity can guide fiter and correcter treatment.

Observational Study on Obese Patients During General Anesthesia
BronchospasmSurgery1 moreThere is increased frequency of asthma in obese patients. This study is trying to find out if there is a difference in the presence of bronchospasm during anesthesia in obese and non obese patients.

Temple Touch Pro (TTP) Non Invasive Continuous Temperature Measurement System
Body Temperature During SurgeryIn this study, the body temperatures of men and women undergoing elective surgery will be measured using the Temple Touch Pro. In the operating room, each patient's temperature will be measured with both the Temple Touch Pro and another one or two of the continuous reference methods used clinically for measuring the core temperature. The Medisim Temple Touch Pro thermometer combines a noninvasive, biocompatible patch and a receiving unit. The former is attached to the skin, while the latter is placed near the patient or the vital signs monitor and receives data from the patch. The core temperature equivalent is displayed. The Medisim Temple Touch Pro is based on the measurements made by conductive sensors that perform skin temperature measurements and then applies a special algorithm in order to calculate the body's temperature.
