Cardiotocography (CTG) is widely used during labour wards in industrialised countries and consists of fetal heart rate and uterine contraction monitoring. The main aim is to identify fetuses that are being poorly oxygenated during labour and require medical intervention to revert the situation or expedite delivery. The need for technical development of CTG is well-recognized, as some of the existing techniques are prone to signal loss and contamination from the maternal heart rate, while others are invasive and have established contra-indications. They also limit maternal mobilisation, contributing to maternal dissatisfaction, and possibly to adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes. New techniques for CTG acquisition will shortly be made available by a leading technological company, providing non-invasive monitoring and allowing full maternal mobilisation, and with the potential to change the way labour is conducted in high-resource countries. There is a need for a systematic evaluation of their clinical performance and benefit.

Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome Is a common disorder in Egypt. IT is one of the common causes of coexisting cataract and glaucoma. It may be associated with a less than normal endothelial count.

Measurement of arterial blood pressure is a basic monitoring in the perioperative setting. It is a standard monitoring to assure an adequate cerebral perfusion pressure and is a basic parameter of hemodynamic optimization. Until now standard methods for blood pressure measurement are non-invasive interval monitoring by arm cuff (Riva-Rocci) or direct, continuous and invasive by inserting an intraarterial catheter. This observational study will show, that a new non-invasive piezocapacitative-interlayer technology will make continuous blood pressure monitoring and non-invasive pulse contour analysis available.

Unexplained polycythemias are rare diseases, and therefore, the collection of data inherent to these diseases will not only improve their characterisation, but also allow stratification according to the risks and the course of the disease. The objective of this project is to constitute a database on the disease which will allow us to better understand it and in due course improve its management. The GENRED project thus bears uniquely on the collection of information, which will be gathered throughout the usual management of patients for this type of disease.

Sexual dimorphism analysis in Egyptian population by locating the mandibular canal using cone-beam computed tomography: an observational cross sectional study

With the advent of the aging society, dementia becomes the focus of common people. As for the neurodegeneration dementia, no disease modifying treatments have been discovered. Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) is considered as one of reversible dementia, which can be hint by the surgery. In addition, dementia of iNPH is the typical subcortical dementia. Therefore exploring the pathogenic mechanism is conducive to the early diagnosis and treatment. This research is to monitor the changing of iNPHGS, cognitive function, walking ability as well as brain construction imaging and neural network before and after ventriculo-peritoneal shunting in order to demonstrate the pathogenesis of triads. In the process, the supplementary test, for instance, CSF tap test, will be validated the predictive value.
