Endometrium Microbiome Alterations in Cesarean Section Diverticula Before and After Transvaginal...

Cesarean Section Complications

The study compares the microbiome differences in the endometrium between normal people and patients with uterine diverticula after cesarean section and aims to discover the essential microbes and their metabolites that highly associate with the repair of myometrium through metagenomics and metabolomics. It verifies that flora disorder in the endometrium is the important cause of poor uterine repair after cesarean section. Then these patients with uterine diverticula receive the transvaginal repair surgery. Through the follow-up with them, we gain the microbiome differences of the endometrium before and after the surgery and show the validity of transvaginal repair surgery in the level of microbiome and metabolism.

Pre-hOspital Evaluation of Chest Pain Patients With sUspected Non ST-segment eLevation myocARdial...

Coronary Artery Disease

Overcrowding in the emergency department is an increasing problem in hospitals worldwide. Point-of-care Troponin (POC cTn) testing combined with a well investigated risk stratification tool (HEART-score) used in the ambulance may contribute to more rapidly diagnostics of ruling in or ruling out myocardial infarctions (MI) and subsequently reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, total admission time and costs. However, the applicability of the POC cTn and the HEART-score in the pre-hospital setting remains unclear. This study will evaluate this applicability.

Assessment of Accuracy of Ultrasonography in Diagnosis of Non-osseous Lateral Ankle Instability...

Ultrasound Therapy; Complications

Chronic ankle instability (CAI) is a condition that often develops after repeated ankle sprains, increasing the susceptibility of the ankle to move into excessive inversion when walking on unsteady surfaces. Approximately 74% of acute ankle sprains result in persistent symptoms, 30% of which progress to chronic ankle instability. Arthroscopic examination and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are considered the two most accurate methods of diagnosing injuries to lateral collateral ligaments. Ultrasound has been proven able to detect soft tissue injuries, However, the use of ultrasound and its' ability to accurately diagnose CAI is still under debate. The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography for the assessment of non-osseous lateral ankle instability in comparison with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Breast Cancer Survivors: Main Physical and Psychosocial Problems After Completion of Treatment

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer directly affects women physically, psychologically and socially in the process of diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment. Despite the improvement in conventional breast cancer treatments that led to longer disease-free survival, many patients still suffer from physical, psychological, social and spiritual problems after treatment. The neglect of physical and psychosocial problems faced by patients who are between 1 and 2 years after the end of treatment negatively impacts the quality of life of this population.

Microaspiration in ERCP

Pulmonary Microaspiration

Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is considered the gold standard in diagnosing and treating biliary and pancreatic diseases. Patients planned for ERCP often have additional comorbidities that make them high-risk candidates for general anesthesia so; the optimized choice of the anesthetic technique represents a real challenge. apparent aspiration is noticeable however microaspiration is hard to detect clinically. our study aims at determining whether general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation or deep sedation is safer in ERCP patients.

Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction in Elderly Urologic Oncology Patients (POCD)

Postoperative Cognitive DysfunctionPostoperative Delirium1 more

Postoperative cognitive changes are more common in elderly patients, which can result in poor quality of life, loss of workforce, disability, early retirement, physical-social dependence, increased health care cost and premature mortality. Postoperative cognitive complications are also quite common in extensive oncological surgeries. In this study, our aim is to evaluate the relationship between the development of postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) in geriatric urologic oncology patients with brain injury and inflammatory markers [S100 β, neuron specific enolase (NSE), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and high mobility group box-1 (HMGB-1 protein)].
