Evaluation of the Prevalence of Asthma in a Cohort of Children Born After IVF (Aged 11-15) Compared...
AsthmaAssisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) are increasingly being used worldwide as a result of fertility decline likely caused by changes in both environment and social behaviour. Considering this large usage, it is important to evaluate the potential risk on the health of children conceived using ART. According to the literature, children born after ART are more likely to be at higher risk of health problems than spontaneously conceived ones. Interestingly, recent studies suggested an increase of asthma prevalence in children conceived using In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the prevalence of asthma in school adolescents from a cohort of children born after In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), aged 11-15 years as compared to a control group composed of the same age range spontaneously conceived individuals. The expected outcome of this study will provide new information regarding these children to ART professionals of and to their own families, by focusing on an age range (between 11 and 15 years) for which very little information is available to date.

Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumor:Factor of Surgery Influencing Survival
Pancreatic Neuroendocrine TumorInvestigator determined the factor of surgery associated with the survival of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor.

18F-NaF-PET for Identification of TCFA
Acute Coronary SyndromeRecently, positron emission tomography(PET) using 18F-Sodium fluoride (NaF) showed promising results for detecting vulnerable plaques in some pilot studies. In this study, the investigators will evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of 18F-NaF PET for non-invasively detecting vulnerable plaque, diagnosed by optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Feasibility Study of Fiducial Markers in Oesophageal Cancer
Esophageal NeoplasmsCurrently, patients of suitable fitness with non-metastatic esophageal cancer are treated with surgery, radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy. If treated with radio or chemoradiotherapy, a Computerised tomography (CT) scan is performed and is the dataset used for planning radiotherapy. Information from the endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), performed during routine staging, is used to help localize the tumor, as tumors of the esophagus are poorly visualised on CT. This information is subjective and dependant on the clinician performing the procedure. The tumor is described in relation to common anatomical landmarks. Interpretion of this information can lead to over-compensation when attempting to cover the tumor with a radiation field, to avoid a "miss". It is thought that using fiducial markers called Visicoils placed in or adjacent to the tumor's top and bottom extent at the time of EUS, will lead to better definition of the tumor in the planning process and hence, improvement in local tumor control, and reduction in radiotherapy dose to normal tissue.

Accuracy of 5D LB Ultrasound in Predicting Birth Weight of Preterm Fetuses : A Pilot Study
Prematurity5D and 2D ultrasound will be done for pregnant women within 72hours before preterm delivery to determine estimated fetal weight by ultrasound. The estimated fetal weight by 5D and 2D ultrasound will be compared to the actual birth weight to determine accuracy of 5D ultrasound in predicting actual birth weight .

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as a Predictor of Mortality in Cardiac Surgery
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary DiseaseCardiac SurgeryTo estimate prevalence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in cardiac surgery population and establish links between COPD status, as assessed through pulmonary functional tests, and 2-year mortality

Neural Indices Associated With Relapse in Cannabis Dependence
Cannabis DependenceThe aim of this fMRI study is to investigate neural indices of relapse in cannabis dependence. The development and maintenance of drug addictions have been associated with deficits in cognitive control, craving and impaired stress regulation. Therefore, neural markers of brain processes underlying the beforementioned components will be studied. Subsequent follow-up drug use interviews will reveal associations between relapse in cannabis dependence and alterations in brain networks of cognitive control, craving and stress.

Observational Multicenter Case-control Study to Assess Nailfold Capillary Abnormalities in Systemic...
Systemic Lupus ErythematosusThe purpose of this study is to investigate the role of nailfold capillaroscopy in the assessment of patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE). Primary endpoint: - To compare the frequency of major capillaroscopic abnormalities in patients with SLE and healthy controls. Secondary endpoints: To compare the frequency of major capillaroscopic abnormalities in patients with active and non-active SLE / active SLE and healthy controls / non-active SLE and healthy controls. To study the association of different capillaroscopic parameters and the status of subjects (SLE / active SLE / non-active SLE / healthy controls).

Characterization of Adipose Derived Regenerative Cells (ADRCs) From Patients With Chronic Heart...
Chronic Heart FailureHuman adipose tissue is now recognized as an acceptable, highly abundant source of adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs). ADRCs are a heterogeneous or mixed population of cells found in adipose tissue including adult stem cells, leukocytes, connective tissue and vessel-associated cells. Autologous adult regenerative cells are thought to promote healing of scarred or injured tissue. While the investigators are learning more about the exact mechanisms every day, it is believed that this heterogeneous population of cells influences the local environment via cell-to-cell signaling, immune modulation, and differentiation into other cell types. The use of ADRCs in the treatment of many different medical conditions (including cardiovascular disease, soft tissue defects, wound healing, and many more) is being evaluated in numerous clinical and preclinical studies around the world. While there is a considerable amount of information regarding the cellular composition of ADRCs isolated from healthy donors, basically there is no much data regarding the ADRC composition from cardiac patients. In this study, adipose tissue or cells from chronic heart ischemia patients, that would otherwise be thrown away in waste, will be provided to researchers who will study these cells with the objective to characterize ADRCs derived from patients with a heart disease and to compare if a heart disease state does impact ADRC cell composition.
