Long-term Follow-up of Subfoveal Neovascular AMD
Exudative Age-related Macular DegenerationTreatment naive patients with subfoveal nAMD initially treated monthly with intravitreal anti-VEGF and subsequently PRN, will be included in this study. Patients will be investigated for the first 2 years monthly and subsequently according to disease activity but at least every two months. Patients will be examined with 4m BCVA ETDRS distance visual acuity, reading acuity measured by Radner-Reading-Charts, contrast sensitivity by Pelli-Robson score, microperimetry and HD-OCT.

Postoperative Multiparameter Outcomes During the Six Months After Rotator Cuff Repair
Shoulder PainQuality of Life1 moreRotator cuff tears are common amongst 50-60 year olds with no connection to their physical activity. When symptomatic, the injury affects all aspects of general health, quality of life and function. Surgical intervention is recommended only if conservative treatment fails. The purpose of the surgical intervention is to reduce pain, and improve function while improving range of motion and muscle strength around the shoulder. The purpose of the current study is to measure physical, functional, expectation, satisfaction and quality of life outcomes after rotator cuff repair surgery. Another purpose is to learn the reproducibility components of the above outcomes.

Causes of Visual Loss in Retinal Disease
UveitisScleritisThis is a study of visual outcomes in retinal disease that seeks to identify the causes of visual loss. This data will be used to predict which patients are at risk of losing vision and how they can be better treated.

Medication-taking Preferences & Practices of Patients With Chronic Conditions
Any Condition in N73.0 Specified as ChronicAdult Disease1 more"Patients can easily be overwhelmed, confused and many times don't fully understand their need for new medications, or when the dosages are to be administered" (patient research partner quote). The long-term goal of this study is to refine medication science by developing patient-centered assessment, monitoring and management guidelines for patients and health professionals. The objective is to advance knowledge about the medication-taking perspectives, experiences, and behaviors of older adults with multiple chronic medical conditions (MCMC) to inform future research related to patient-centered medication prescribing, monitoring and management. This pilot study addresses the following PCORI interest area: "evaluating methods that can be used to assess the patient perspective when researching behaviors and choices within the patient's control that may influence outcomes." The rationale that underlies the proposed study is that medication-taking practices are wholly within patients' control, and are foundational to reducing complications and improving outcomes for those with MCMC. To meet the overall objective of this application, the following specific aims will be pursued: 1) identify perceptions and behaviors surrounding the medication-taking process of older adults with MCMC; and 2) generate an interpretation of the meaning of medication-taking among older adults with MCMC. To achieve these aims, data will be obtained in "real time" from patients (N=30) receiving a new prescription using smart phone technology. The smart phones will include prompts to help participants record thoughts about medication use throughout the day for 30 days. Findings from electronic diaries will be logged, analyzed and qualitatively analyzed. Some patients (n=15) will provide in-depth hermeneutic interviews to provide rich descriptions and interpretive commentary about the experience of receiving a new medication prescription. The objective is to uncover previously unidentified areas of common experience in older persons with multiple chronic conditions who have received a new prescription. Common experiences and patterns of influences, that are often surprising or unexpected, will be categorized and assessed. The expected outcomes of this pilot study are improved knowledge of medication-taking perceptions, experiences, and practices of older adults with MCMC-knowledge that is critical to advance patient-centered medication science.

Fluoroscopic Analysis of PFC CR 150 Versus Standard PFC CR Total Knee Arthroplasty Implants in Deep...
Knee OsteoarthritisThe investigators are comparing the range of movements the knees of patients who had total knee replacement surgery for knee osteoarthritis. In the study arm, the implant used was a Sigma Cruciate Retaining (CR) Press Fit Condylar (PFC) 150, which is a high flexion knee system designed to combine function with wear resistance. It can accommodate up to 150 degrees of knee flexion. In the cohort arm, the implant used was the standard Sigma CR which can accommodate up to 120 degrees of flexion.

ADnexal TOrsion Markers Study
Adnexal TorsionLaparoscopyAdnexal torsion , is a severe, though uncommon gynecological emergency, with a prevalence of 2.7-3%. The need for prompt diagnosis and treatment in order to save ovarian tissue has been realized a long time ago. A marker that will aid in the diagnosis of torsion and prevent missed diagnosis and unecessary loss of ovarian tissue, while not increasing the rate of unecessary laparoscopic interventions is much needed. To our knowledge, such marker has not been found. The purpose of this study is to find a marker using blood/serum from patients undergoing laparoscopy for suspected ovarian torsion

Oral Rehydration Therapy in Children With Mild to Moderate Dehydration
ParentAttitudesThe purpose of this study is to determine parental attitudes towards oral rehydration therapy for children with mild to moderate dehydration.

Plasma Cystatin C and Acute Kidney Injury
Acute Kidney InjuryTo evaluate the utility of plasma cystatin C(pCysC) as a predictive and diagnostic marker of acute kidney injury(AKI) in patients undergone cardiopulmonary bypass surgery.

Prevalence of Postpartum Depression in Hospital Jose E. Gonzalez
Postpartum DepressionThis research will use the Edinburgh Scale Of Post partum depression to evaluate patients during their 4th to 6th after delivery, and the investigators will compare the results with those found in other countries with population with similar characteristics as ours

Revision of the Hip Joint - Prospective Study
Revision of the Hip JointBetween the years 1999-2011 70 patients went through a revision of the hip joint(revision after not successful Total or Partial Hip Replacement). During the revision the Acetabular implant was found to be stable and it was decided not to replace it. The polyethylene insert was replaced and was fixated using a cement. Our purpose is to evaluate the physical condition of these patients.
