Study to Evaluate Suprachoroidally Administered CLS-AX in the Treatment of Neovascular Age-Related...
Neovascular Age-related Macular DegenerationPhase 2b, randomized, double-masked, parallel-group, active-controlled, multicenter, 36-week study designed to assess the safety and efficacy of suprachoroidally administered CLS-AX 1.0 mg with a flexible dosing regimen in participants with neovascular age-related macular degeneration previously treated with intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) standard of care therapy. Only one eye will be chosen as the study eye.

The Effect Of Cervical Mobilization And Clinical Pilates in Cervicogenic Headache
HeadacheCervicogenic2 moreCervicogenic headache (CH) arises from cervical region problems. Various physiotherapy methods such as manual therapy approaches and exercise training are used in the treatment of CH. The aim of our study is to investigate cervical mobilization and clinical Pilates exercises on pain, muscle stiffness, head and neck blood flow in CH. Including individuals diagnosed with CH in the study. Those to be included in the study will be divided into 3 groups by a simple method. Demographic information of the individuals, age, height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), gender, educational status, occupation, marital status, smoking, alcohol use will be recorded. In evaluations about pain before treatment; pain intensity, pain frequency, duration and characteristics will be evaluated with Visual Analog Scale (VAS). In addition, analgesic use (frequency, amount) in headache situations will be recorded. Migraine Disability Assessment Scale (MIDAS) will be used to determine the effect of headache on quality of life. Disability Index will be used in the assessment of functional desire, and Postur Screen mobile application will be used in the assessment of posture. Range of motion(ROM) of all neck joint movements will be evaluated by CROM goniometer, deep neck flexor muscle strength by Pressure Biofeedback Unit (PBU), sternocleidomastoid(SKM), suboccipital and upper trapezius muscle stiffness myotonometer, and head-neck artery flow volume will be evaluated by Doppler ultrasound. Cervical mobilization methods will be applied to the 1st group, clinical pilates applications to the 2nd group, clinical pilates with cervical mobilization will be applied to the 3rd group for 3 days / week for 6 weeks. All evaluations were completed again after the 3rd week and after the treatment. After the obtained results are obtained, the literature will be discussed.
Enhanced Hippocampal Neuroplasticity for Surfacing of Inaccessible Traumatic Memories in Veterans...
PTSDPeritraumatic AmnesiaHyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) includes the inhalation of 100% oxygen at pressures exceeding one atmosphere absolute. HBOT has been applied worldwide, mostly for chronic non-healing wounds. Our team demonstrated that HBOT induced hippocampal neuroplasticity in veterans with long-standing treatment-resistant PTSD; this led to enhanced memory recovery and significant improvement in PTSD symptoms. Both physical activity, such as aerobic exercise, and cognitive training were shown to support neurogenesis in the hippocampus. Therefore, the current study aims to evaluate whether hippocampal training, induced by physical and cognitive training, will augment the hippocampal neuroplasticity effect of HBOT and further enhance recovery of inaccessible memories in veterans with PTSD. The protocol will include forty male veterans aged 25 to 60 years, with combat-associated PTSD and peritraumatic amnesia, who will receive either HBOT alone or HBOT and hippocampal training. The HBOT protocol will consist of 60 daily sessions, 90-minutes each, five days a week. Hippocampal training will combine physical and cognitive training 3 times per week, prior to HBOT sessions. Detailed psychological evaluation, anatomic and functional MRI, electroencephalogram and autonomic nervous system data will be obtained at baseline, and during and after treatment. The proposed study offers a new approach of biological treatment for memory manipulations. The findings will help elucidate the mechanism of PTSD-related memory impairment and is expected to contribute to the development of biological memory manipulations for treating PTSD and other memory-related conditions.
Phase 2 Study of AFM13 in Combination With AB-101 in Subjects With R/R HL and CD30+ PTCL
Relapsed or Refractory Hodgkin LymphomaPeripheral T Cell LymphomaAFM13-203 is a phase 2, open-label, multi-center, multi-cohort study with a safety run-in followed by expansion cohorts. The study is evaluating the safety and efficacy of AFM13 in combination with AB-101 in subjects with R/R classical HL and CD30-positive PTCL.
A Study of the Use of Fat Flap Reconstruction to Reduce Neck Injury After Cancer Treatment
Head and Neck Squamous Cell CarcinomaThe purpose of this study is to find out whether the fat ALT flap procedure is a safe and practical option for reducing neck morbidity in HNSCC patients following cancer treatment of the neck. Neck morbidity after radiation therapy and surgery includes difficulty swallowing, neck or shoulder pain, stiffness, swelling, or changes to the appearance of the treated area. In addition, the researchers will find out whether the study procedure is effective at reducing neck morbidity and improving quality of life after cancer treatment. The researchers will measure quality of life by having participants answer questionnaires.
Circulating Tumor DNA Guided Treatment Monitoring in Advanced Lung Cancer
Non-small Cell Lung Cancer MetastaticThe study is a prospective randomized interventional study including patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer, receiving immunotherapy, with the aim of optimizing treatment monitoring. The study aims to investigate the clinical utility of liquid biopsy monitoring in order to reduce the numbers of inefficient treatments and needless toxicity - and to explore the cost-effectiveness and cost-utility of introducing liquid biopsy monitoring in daily clinical practice.
Responding With Evidence and Access for Childhood Headaches
HeadacheHeadache Disorders7 moreThis comparative effectiveness study will clarify current first-line preventive treatment approaches for use by neurologists, psychologists, and primary care providers in the context of real world care, and will demonstrate the feasibility of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) via telehealth for youth with migraine. The focus is on applying evidence-based care and enhancing access to it. CBT via telehealth while taking a clinically-prescribed, pill-based prevention therapy (amitriptyline) will be compared to CBT via telehealth alone.
Transdermal Rotigotine as Adjunct to Behavioral Therapy for Cocaine Use Disorder
Substance-Related DisordersThis is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2b pilot clinical trial to determine whether non-ergoline D3/D2/D1 dopamine (DA) receptor agonist rotigotine (RTG), in combination with treatment as usual, including individual or group behavioral therapy can a) reduce cocaine use and also b) increase brain activity in frontocortical areas of the brain, and, as a reflection of that - improve top-down cognitive control in persons with cocaine use disorder (CocUD). Rotigotine is a marketed non-ergoline D3/D2/D1 DA agonist (RTG, Neupro®) in the form of a transdermal patch that is FDA-approved for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease and Restless Legs Syndrome. The premise of this project was based on apparent beneficial effects of RTG in a different human population characterized by executive function (EF) impairment. In light of the deficits in EF common in persons with CocUD, RTG may hold the potential for cognitive improvement in persons with CocUD who are in treatment as usual to both attend to and retain psychoeducation concepts better. In addition, rotigotine may help these individuals in recovery maintain goals better, where goal maintenance is a crucial integrative product of successful EF.
