Value of Various Chemokines in the Detection and Follow up of RCC
Clear Cell Renal Cell CarcinomaThis study was designed as a pilot study to try and find a Chemokine that may be specific for renal cell carcinoma

Circulating Cell-free DNA as a Predictive Biomarker for Hepatocelluar Carcinoma.
Hepatocellular CarcinomaCirculating free cell DNA (cfDNA) is extracellular fragmentation of nucleic acids that occurs both in plasma and serum. This kind of DNA which derived from the apoptotic/necrotic cells or the lysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) can be detectedin the patients with a variety of diseases. Emerging evidence suggests that cfDNA from patients exhibits characteristicchanges of tumors, suchas mutations, insertions/deletions, methylations, microsatellite aberrations, and copy number variations, etc. All of these reveal a visible difference between the benign conditions, and thus may be useful in the diagnosis of cancer, identification of targeted therapy, monitor responses to treatments, and early detection of relapse. The purpose for this study is to explore these characteristic changes in the patients withhepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and expect to guide targeted therapy and identify non-invasive biomarkers of cancer diagnosis and prognosis which can be easily isolated from the circulation.

Study on the Interplay Between Twist1 and Other EMT Regulators Through microRNA-29 Family.
Head-and-Neck Squamous Cell CarcinomaInvestigation of the molecular mechanism and clinical significance of the interplay between Twist1 and other EMT regulators through microRNA-29 family.

Study on Neutropenia Induced by Adjuvant Paclitaxel/Carboplatin Chemotherapy in Patients With Epithelial...
Epithelial Ovarian CancerTo develop a robust prediction model to predict the occurrence of grade 3-4 neutropenia induced by adjuvant paclitaxel/carboplatin chemotherapy in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer and to validate this model.

Detection and Enumeration of Circulating Tumor Cells in Rectal Cancer
Rectal CancerRectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world. However, there's also no reliable and sensitive method to monitor diseases and evaluate therapy responses till now. Circulating tumor cells, which could reflect tumor's status correctly and reliably, may be a promising method in this field. This study is to investigate the role of circulating tumor cells in evaluating and predicting the responses of chemoradiotherapy in rectal cancer.

Comparison of Sequencing and PNA Clamping of EGFR Gene in Patients With Non-Small Cell Type Lung...
Non-Small Cell Lung CancerUsing DNA acquired from tumor tissue, sequencing and PNA-clamping for EGFR gene will be performed. The detection rates of EGFR mutation will be compared using paired samples.

Retrospective Evaluation of the Clinical Results Obtained in Patients With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia...
Disease: Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaThis study provides for the collection of a series composed by patients with newly diagnosed of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in the period 1999-2011. This collection is carried out with retrospective investigation, through the review of paper and electronic records and data cards in large part already collected as part of study protocols "GIMEMA" or "BFM" or "NILG" approved by the Ethics Committee of Hospital. The purpose of data collection is to check with retrospective predictability of classical risk factors in relation to disease response, and overall survival of the event-free survival, to estimate the cumulative incidence of competitive events such as the emergence of disease, acute and chronic transplant, the transplant-related mortality and relapse of disease.

Paravertebral Block for Percutaneous Radiofrequency Ablation of Liver Lesions
Liver TumorPercutaneous radiofrequency ablation of liver lesions causes patients acute pain during and after the procedure. During the procedure patients need deep sedation and cannot be collaborative. Furthermore post-operative analgesia is necessary. The aim of this study is to evaluate if the ultrasound-guided paravertebral block (TPVB)with a single injection can provide anesthesia and post-operative analgesia in these patients.

Permeability Map to Distinguish Progression From Pseudoprogression in High-Grade Glioma
High Grade GliomaThe aim of the present study is to assess whether a new method of quantifying therapy-associated hemodynamic alterations based on DCE MR imaging may help to distinguish pseudoprogression from true progression in patients with high grade glioma, who received CCRT.
