The aim of this study is to evaluate the patient subjective experiences of the daily disposable hydrogel lens when compared to the daily disposable silicone hydrogel lens after 15 minutes of daily wear each.

Glaucoma is a blinding eye disease increasingly common in older adults, particularly in African Americans, and often diagnosed late in the disease course. It is essential to develop novel health care models, utilizing telemedicine, to improve the ability to detect glaucoma at an earlier stage, and to provide a platform to manage this disease in community-based clinics so that further vision loss is prevented. Our goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of glaucoma detection and management among a vulnerable and at-risk segment of our population.

Atropine has a ciliary muscle-paralysing effect and causes hyperopic drift. Besides, atropine has been proven to slow the progression of myopia. Many studies have suggested that atropine can increase the thickness of the choroid. However, few studies have discussed changes in the ciliary muscle after treatment with atropine or other cycloplegic agents. This study aimed to assess the difference in ciliary muscle morphology before and after two different cycloplegic agents and to analyze the correlation between the changes of ciliary muscle biological parameters and the changes of eye axis, spherical equivalent, lens diopter, choroidal thickness, etc. One hundred and forty-four children would be randomly assigned 1:1 to the 1% atropine group and the tropicamide group. This study might provide clinical evidence for the role of regulatory factors in the occurrence and development of myopia.

Successful treatment of residual refraction 6 months after IOL Implantation with Relex-Smile.

The objective of this intervention study was to understand the visual health status of nearly one million children and adolescents in ten provinces in China, and then to conduct intervention and evaluate the effect of intervention measures with the development of myopia as the outcome indicator. The study will be conducted in the form of a stepped intervention and will answer the following questions. Current China children and adolescent's vision health, including the different degrees of myopia prevalence, and farsightedness reserve status. To evaluate the implementation and effect of eight appropriate technologies and six interventions developed in this study, to reduce the incidence of myopia among children and adolescents in China, to achieve the purpose of nationwide application. In the early stage of this study, a baseline survey will be conducted on participants. In the middle stage, participants will be required to adjust the seat height regularly and increase the time for outdoor activities, etc. In the later stage, intervention measures will be evaluated based on the overall research situation to consider national promotion.

LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) is a type of refractive surgery for correction of myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Yet approximately 30% of operated patients have symptoms like glare, halos, dry eyes and especially residual hypermetrop refractive errors. Residual hypermetrop refractive errors are difficult to treat surgically, the current treatment is Refractive Lens Implantation - risks are similar to those of cataract surgery (endophthalmitis, loss of accommodation, etc.)
