Secondary Intraocular Lens Implantation in Pediatric Patients
Congenital CataractThis prospective, non-randomized controlled study aiming at comparing the prognosis of minimal invasive lens surgery and traditional cataract surgery for treating congenital cataracts after the patient receives secondary intraocular artificial lens (IOL) implantation.

Intra-surgical Evaluation of CATS Tonometer Prism and Abbott Medical Optics Versus Alcon Phacoemulsification...
Cataract SurgeryThis study will measure the dynamic real-time intraocular pressure (IOP) in the anterior chamber during standard phacoemulsification surgery. What is known: Fluidics control is determined to be one of the primary drivers of physician decision making in choosing phacoemulsification equipment. Active pressure system fluidic control has a perceived and possibly real (based upon recent literature) improvement in intra-cameral IOP stability and reduced pressure fluctuations. Improved fluidics can allow for reduced dynamic IOP fluctuations, in-the-bag positioned phaco tip, and intra-cameral fluid flow all of which will likely improve corneal health post-operatively.

Clinical Evaluation of Reproducibility of Keratometric Measurements and Influencing Factors in Cataract...
CataractDry EyeThe investigational device is an approved biometry device to perform biometric measurements preoperatively to calculate the needed IOL power. First, two native measurements at the IOL Master will be performed. Thereafter randomly assigned artificial tears are instilled in the eye and biometry will be repeated within 30 seconds, as well as after 2 and 5 minutes. At least 24hours after those measurements, two native measurements at the IOL Master will be performed. Thereafter, the not yet used artificial tears are instilled in the eye and biometry will be repeated within 30 seconds, as well as after 2 and 5 minutes. Examinations will be implemented in accordance with the approved investigational plan on subjects and includes: repeated biometry without and with artificial tear drops.

Posterior Capsule Opafication of Two Different Hydrophobic Acrylic Intraocular Lenses
Age Related CataractsOn the day of surgery, the first eye to be operated is randomised to receive a Vivinex , HOYA Surgical Optics GmbH or an SN60WF, Alcon, Fort Worth, Texas. The second eye to be operated receives the other IOL type. A complete biomicroscopic examination, visual acuity testing using autorefractometer, contrast sensitivity testing, and standardised retroillumination photography for PCO evaluation, will be performed 6 month (30-60 days), 1.5 years (± 3 months) and 3 (± 3 months) years postoperatively.

Clinical Trial : Complications of in the Bag IOL Versus Optic Capture of IOL in Pediatric Cataract...
Posterior Capsule OpacificationPostoperative ComplicationsThis prospective, randomized, clinical trial looks to compare children undergoing congenital cataract surgery with intraocular lens (IOL) implantation in terms of visual axis obscuration as well as postoperative complications such as glaucoma, inflammation and IOL centration when IOL fixation is performed using two different techniques : 1) conventional in the bag IOL implantation with anterior vitrectomy, and, 2) posterior optic capture of the IOL through the posterior capsulorhexis without any vitrectomy. 61 eyes of 61 children randomized to receiving IOL implantation using one of the two techniques will be followed up until 12 months postoperatively.

Comparison of Outcomes With Multifocal Intraocular Lenses
CataractThe purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the clinical outcomes of 6 kinds of Multifocal Intraocular Lenses: SN6AD1, SBL-3, LS-313 MF30, AT LISA tri 839 MP, ART, LS-313 MF30T.

Medications Effect on Lenstar Measurements
CataractPrior to cataract surgery the lens must be calculated to appropriately fit a patient for the intraocular lens implant. Lenstar is an optical biometer that calculates the axial length, keratometry, lens thickness, pupillometry, and anterior chamber depth. Dilation drops are routinely used in eye exams in addition to pre-cataract surgery. The dilation drops include Tropicamide 1%, and Phenylephrine 2.5%. The Tropicamide achieves the dilation of the pupil which causes an anterior rotation of the ciliary body, which may affect the Lenstar measurements. This study is to determine if dilating medications affect the lens power prediction for emmetropia by the Lenstar biometer. Prior to dilation, Lenstar biometry will be performed on each eye. Patients will receive dilation medication and after waiting 20 minutes Lenstar biometry will be performed on each eye. Dilation and measurement with Lenstar will be done as standard of care. Measurements and calculations from before and after will be compared.

Show Improved Vision With the HOYA AF-1 Aspheric Intraocular Lens After Cataract Surgery
CataractsThe doctors participating in this study are looking to show improved vision with the HOYA AF-1 aspheric intraocular lens after cataract surgery. They will also study the use of Revital Vision (neuro-sensory testing) in providing the highest potential for improved vision.

Size Progression of Macular Degeneration After Cataract Surgery
Age-Related Macular DegenerationThe purpose of this study was to find out if in patients with non-exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD), randomly assigned to cataract surgery, any AMD size progression or progression to exudative AMD could be detected 6 months after surgery.

Validation of the Utility of Rare Disease Intelligence Platform
CataractArtificial IntelligenceThe prevention and treatment of diseases via artificial intelligence represents an ultimate goal in computational medicine. The artificial intelligence for systematic clinical application has not yet been successfully validated. Currently, the main prevention strategy for rare diseases is to build specialized care centers. However, these centers are scattered, and their coverage is insufficient, resulting in inadequate health care among a large proportion of rare disease patients. Here, the investigators use "deep learning" to create CC-Cruiser, an intelligence agent involving three functional networks: "pick-up networks" for diagnostics, "evaluation networks" for risk stratification and "strategist networks" to provide assisted treatment decisions. The investigator also establish a cloud intelligence platform for multi-hospital collaboration and conduct clinical trial and website-based study to validate its versatility.
