North American Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Reflective III Pilot
DyslipidemiasAcute Coronary SyndromeThe North American ACS Reflective III Pilot is an observational, Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QuERI), knowledge translation program designed to give feedback to physicians on their post-ACS lipid-lowering management in an effort to support their decision-making and choice of therapies and thereby better achieve evidence-based, guideline-recommended management of post-ACS patients. The ACS Reflective III Pilot follows the completed ACS Registries I, II, and III, ACS Reflective I, and the ongoing ACS Reflective II programs.
PLATOREL® STUDY IN CARDIOVASCULAR RISΚ ASSESMENT
DyslipidemiasHyperlipidemias3 moreDyslipidemias are a major risk factor for the onset of cardiovascular disease, while early diagnosis and appropriate treatment approaches significantly reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The aim is to provide revised Greek guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of dyslipidaemias. The lipids of the human body are cholesterol (it is used to synthesize cell membranes, adrenal hormones and gonads and is a component of bile) and triglycerides (used as a fuel and as a storage of energy in adipose tissue). Dyslipidemias are disorders (quantitative or qualitative) of the metabolism of lipoprotein particles [low density lipoproteins (LDL), chylomic, high density lipoproteins (HDL), very low density lipoproteins (VLDL)] that carry lipids into the body. Primary prevention in subjects aged 40-65 years with no known clinical atherosclerotic disease and without diabetes or chronic renal disease should evaluate the likelihood of a fatal cardiovascular event over the next 10 years. For this purpose, it is recommended to use the Greek version of the SCORE of the Hellenic Heart SCORE.
Cardiovascular Events Based On Statin Initiation In The Elderly
CardiovascularDyslipidemiaThe purpose of this study is to compare rates and risk of primary cardiovascular events among elderly patients newly initiating therapy with atorvastatin or simvastatin. The specific objectives for this project are to: 1) examine the demographic and clinical characteristics of the elderly patients in whom atorvastatin or simvastatin was newly initiated; and 2) compare cardiovascular event rates in elderly patients in whom atorvastatin or simvastatin was newly initiated.
Management of Dyslipidemia in Adult Type 2 Diabetes Patients in India
DyslipidemiaType 2 Diabetes MellitusThe purpose of study to assess the control of dyslipidemia in the Indian diabetic population treated with any hypolipidemic agent.

A Study of Physical and Metabolic Abnormalities in HIV Infected and Uninfected Children and Youth...
HIV InfectionsHIV-Associated Lipodystrophy Syndrome5 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of metabolic and physical abnormalities in HIV infected (via mother-to-child transmission) and uninfected children and youth. Metabolism, body composition, bone density, and other factors will be assessed in relationship to participants' exposure to highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART).
VDR SNPs & 25OHD Correlated With Dyslipidemia
DyslipidemiasSingle Nucleotide PolymorphismThe project was aimed to explore the associations of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of vitamin D receptor gene with specific circulating lipids in adult Chinese. The circulating 25-hydroxyvitamin D concentration was also tested to explore its interactions with SNPs in the associations.

A Observational Study to Evaluate Lipid-lowering Drug Its Effect on Parameters in Dyslipidemia of...
Complex DyslipidemiaTarget disease: Patients with combined dyslipidemia accompanied by type 2 diabetes who has done exogenous visit or hospitalization from Jan 2010 to June 2014. Study objective: The objective of this study is to Identifying the lipid parameter variation when treating patients who have dyslipidemia of type 2 diabetes for 3±1 months. After treating patients who have dyslipidemia of type 2 diabetes for 3±1 months, identifying the reason why changing method of drug dosage and pharmacotherapy. If the drug dosage and pharmacotherapy have been changed, Identifying the lipid parameter variation when treating patients by altered drugs for 3±1 months,
The Cork and Kerry Diabetes and Heart Disease Study (Phase II) Mitchelstown Cohort
Cardiovascular DiseasesDiabetes8 moreThe aim of the Cork and Kerry Study Phase II (Mitchelstown cohort recruited 2010-11) is to provide an updated profile of glucose tolerance status, cardiovascular health and their related factors in an Irish adult general population sample and to compare the findings with those obtained during baseline assessment of Phase I of the Cork and Kerry study (1998) and the rescreen (2008).
