Early Surgeon Experience With Robotic-Assisted Inguinal Hernia Repair
HerniaInguinalThe primary objective of this study is to evaluate the progression of surgeon efficiency and proficiency of traditionally open or laparoscopic surgeons performing robotic-assisted inguinal hernia repair throughout their learning curve.
Comparison of Postoperative Pain After Hernial Sac Ligation Versus Non-ligation in Inguinal Hernioplasty...
Inguinal HerniaIndirect1 moreThis study is intends to compare mean postoperative pain scores for 48-hours in patients undergoing Inguinal hernioplasty with and without hernia sac ligation in Department of Surgery, Dow University of Health Sciences & Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.Half of the patients undergoing inguinal hernioplasty will have their indirect inguinal sacs ligated whereas other half will have non-ligation and inversion of sac.
Incisional Hernia Repair Long-term Outcomes
Incisional HerniaLong-term extension of a previous trial comparing outcomes after open (OVHR) or laparoscopic incisional ventral hernia repair (LVHR), assessing recurrence, reoperation, intraperitoneal mesh-related complications and self-reported quality-of-life with 10-15 years of follow-up.
Management Of Large Incisional Hernia, Double Mesh Modification Of Chevrel's Technique Versus On...
Hernia Incisional Ventralcomparison between two groups of large midline incisional hernia, the first group managed by double mesh modification of chevrel's technique the second one managed by conventional onlay mesh repair
Short Term Outcome of Laparoscopic Trans-abdominal Preperitoneal Inguinal Hernia Repair Without...
Inguinal Herniacomparison between two groups of participants suffering inguinal hernia each group 23 individual all underwent laparoscopic trans-abdominal inguinal hernia repair first group received mesh fixation the second underwent no fixation , results of follow up in the first year were compared together
Chronic Pain After Inguinal Hernia Repair, the ONSTEP Technique Versus the Laparoscopic Approach...
HerniaInguinal1 moreThe objective of this study is to evaluate chronic pain after inguinal hernia repair involving mesh placement with the Onstep-technique compared to mesh placement using a laparoscopic approach. The study hypothesis is that an even or smaller proportions of patients operated the Onstep technique will have chronic pain that impairs daily function.
Long Term Results of Randomized Prospective Comparison of Onlay and Sublay Mesh Repair Techniques...
Incisional HerniaRandomised prospective comparison of onlay and sublay mesh repair techniques in incisional hernia
Inguinal Hernia Management: Watchful Waiting vs. Tension-Free Open Repair
Inguinal HerniasPurpose: To determine if observation (watchful waiting is a safe alternative to routine repair of asymptomatic inguinal hernias in adult males. Scope: Traditionally surgeons are taught that all inguinal hernias should be repaired at diagnosis to prevent the life threatening complications of bowel obstruction or incarceration with strangulation and that operation becomes more difficult the longer a hernia is left un-repaired.
Incisional Hernia After Midline Versus Transverse Extraction Incision in Laparoscopic Colectomy...
Laparoscopic ColectomyIncisional hernia (IH) is a common complication of midline laparotomy. Despite the hope that laparoscopic colon resection would result in fewer incisional hernias, prospective studies demonstrate a similar incidence to open surgery. Observational studies suggest that the rate of incisional hernia after laparoscopic colon resection may be reduced with the use of a transverse compared to a midline extraction incision. However, no randomized trails are available, and a midline extraction incision for hemicolectomy remains the standard current approach. The investigators hypothesize that the use of a lower abdominal transverse muscle splitting incision for specimen extraction in laparoscopic colon surgery will result in fewer incisional hernias compared to a midline periumbilical extraction incision.
LVHR Multicenter Study
Ventral and Ventral Insicional HerniaThe study aims to prove differences or equalities in outcome for patients operated with laparoscopic ventral hernia repair with different methods of fixation of mesh and with or without approximation of defect prior to meshfixation.
