Value of Penile Elastography in Diagnosis of Patients With Erectile Dysfunction and Non-responders...

To Investigate the Value of Penile Elastography in the Diagnosis of Fibrosis of CC

Penile erection is a neurovascular response that induces penile arterial dilatation, increased blood flow, and cavernous smooth muscles (CSM) relaxation; the enlarging corpora cavernosa compress the subtunical veins, against a rigid tunica albuginea, and entrap blood within the penis. Impaired CSM function can result in corporo veno-occlusive dysfunction (CVOD) and erectile dysfunction. Nevertheless, diagnostic tests, which can evaluate the status of CSM, are not clinically applicable. Penile elastography is a new promising tool that can assess the stiffness of the corpora cavernosa. Accordingly penile elastography can assess the status of the cavernous tissue and can distinguish patient with corporal fibrosis.

Effects of Tadalafil on LMR and MHR in Patients With ED

Erectile DysfunctionInflammation

The aim of the study was to investigate whether daily 5 mg tadalafil over eight weeks affects to Lymphocyte/Monocyte ratio (LMR) and Monocyte/High-Density Lipoprotein ratio (MHR) in patients with erectile dysfunction (ED). Thirty-one patients with organic ED and 31 healthy controls between July 2017 and November 2018 were included in this retrospective study. To avoid bias, the patients were randomly selected and the controls were also incorporated consecutively. The presence of ED was determined according to the International Erectile Function Index-5 (IIEF-5). The patients and the controls were evaluated in terms of IIEF-5, complete blood count, serum biochemistry, LMR, and MHR.

Prevalence Of Internal Pudendal Artery Disease In Patients With Erectile Dysfunction Undergoing...

To Assess the Presence of Internal Pudendal Artery Disease in Patients With Erectile Dysfunction Undergoing Coronary Angiography

Subjects in this study have recently had or are scheduled for a coronary angiography as part of their normal, routine medical care. This procedure uses x-ray imaging to see the inside of the heart's blood vessels. This research study will evaluate the possible relationship between erectile dysfunction and vascular disease (diseases of the veins). In order to look at this possible relationship, subjects will complete a questionnaire which will ask questions regarding their sexual activity. Additionally, we will gather information from their medical records and take extra images during the coronary angiography procedure.

Patient Satisfaction and Complications With the New Titan® One Touch Release (OTR) Penis Prosthesis...

Erectile DysfunctionIntraoperative Complications1 more

The purpose of this study is to assess patient satisfaction with the Titan one touch release penis prosthesis and to register complications with this prosthesis. This will regard the first prostheses inserted at Herlev Hospital/Frederikssund Hospital. Patient satisfaction will be assessed by mailing out the "Erectile Dysfunction Inventory of Treatment Satisfaction (EDITS) Questionnaire" and recording the patient answers. The most important question will be "Overall how satisfied are you with penile prosthesis?". Complications (including infection, bleeding, and mechanical failure) will be assessed by a patient chart review and confirmed by a brief phone interview.

Will Erectile Dysfunction Increase the Risk of Prostate Cancer

Erectile Dysfunction

The rationale for investigating the hypothesis that there is an association between erectile dysfunction (ED) and the subsequent development of prostate cancer is based on three assumptions: 1) baseline ED is common in most if not all of the cross-sectional studies in men with prostate cancer; 2) the development of ED and prostate cancer may have certain shared common risk factors; and 3) the use of testosterone for the treatment of ED has been suspected to be associated with prostate cancer development. Controversy exists over whether men with ED have an increased risk of subsequent prostate cancer. Few studies have evaluated the risk of developing prostate cancer for men with ED. The investigators, therefore, conducted a population-based longitudinal study with eight years' follow-up to examine this association and to evaluate the magnitude of the risk.

Predicting Peripheral Arterial Disease in Men With Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile DysfunctionPeripheral Arterial Disease

Erectile dysfunction is a common complaint and is found frequently in men with hyperlipidemia, hypertension, diabetes and those who smoke. ED may also be an early warning of peripheral arterial disease. This study is designed to look for a relationship between the degree of ED and the presence of PAD when associated with co-morbid conditions.

Pelvic Angiography in Non-Responders to Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibitors (PANPI)

Erectile Dysfunction

The specific aim of this pilot study is to describe the angiographic prevalence and pattern of internal pudendal artery (and associated inflow vessel) atherosclerosis in patients with erectile dysfunction who are non-responsive to PDE-5 inhibitors (i.e., Viagra) who are referred for clinically-indicated cardiac catheterization.

Radiologist Diagnostic Performance Versus Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Painful HipFonctional Impotence After Minor Trauma (Fall)

In France, femoral neck fracture is mainly detected with interpretation of pelvis/hip X-ray imaging (French Health Authority recommandation). However, up to 10% of fractures are not identified or misdiagnosed, especially in patients admitted to the emergency department. Indeed, radiologists may be subject to excessive work, wich cause the risk of inaccurate on X-rays diagnosis. The Artificial intelligence (AI) begins study the detection of fratures on medical imaging. In this retropective study, this technology developed by GLEAMER company is tested to evaluate the detection rate of hip fracture and specifically femoral neck fracture, compared to the radiologist diagnostic, in eldery patients admitted in emergency department. AI could optimize the diagnostic performance of radiologists (increase of confidence level) and improve the efficiency of suspected fractures sorting from emergency department.
