Screening for Chronic Hepatitis C Virus in Hospitalized Patients

Hepatitis C

Chronic viral hepatitis C is a public health problem and several management recommendations are available. According to the HAS, hepatitis C screening consists of a targeted screening of people at risk of infection by the virus, in particular to drug users, to people from countries with a high prevalence of the virus or who have received care in those countries, people transfused before 1992, or people who have been or have been imprisoned. Our study proposes to evaluate hepatitis C screening in consenting patients hospitalized in Saint Joseph. These previously identified patients with comorbidities will be cared for according to current national practices that reduce HCV morbidity and mortality.

HepATocellular Cancer Hcv Therapy Study

Hepatocellular CarcinomaHepatoma2 more

Subjects with Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection, genotype 1 or 4 and with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and a complete response to HCC therapy will be randomised to immediate or delayed (6 months) HCV therapy with Elbasvir (MK-8742) and Grazoprevir (MK-5172) [EBR/GZR].

Hepatitis C-Video vs. Brochure Education Delivery

Hepatitis C

The purpose of this study is to determine the most effective way to give patients information regarding hepatitis C virus infection. The investigators plan to compare the information retained by some patients who are given a brochure alone versus patients who watch an interactive video about hepatitis C.

TLR-9 Adjuvanted Vaccination for Chronic Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B

Unmethylated cystine-guanosine dinucleotide (CpG) motifs are pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) associated with bacterial and viral-derived DNA that activate the innate and humoral immunity via toll-like receptor 9. This is a randomized controlled pilot study evaluating the clinical and immune correlates of a seroprotective immune response against a CpG-adjuvanted vaccine for hepatitis B.

Hepatitis C: Community Testing and Treatment (CT2 Study Myanmar)

Hepatitis C

Implementation-effectiveness hybrid trial assessing acceptability, feasibility and cost-effectiveness of community-based point-of-care testing and treatment for hepatitis C. Utilises Cepheid GeneXpert HCV VL device as diagnostic tool (diagnosis of chronic infection and assessment of treatment outcome) and sofosbuvir/daclatasvir for HCV therapy (local standard of care).

To Evaluate the Immunogenicity and Safety of Inactivated Hepatitis A Vaccine (VITHA-A)

Hepatitis A Vaccine

The objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity after one primary dose and one additional dose (administered twice at an interval of 6 months) of inactivated hepatitis A vaccine are administered in adolescents (16 years of age or older) or adults.

Hepatitis E

This study is to evaluate lot-lot consistency of Recombinant Hepatitis E Vaccine (Escherichia Coli) Hecolin®.

Immunogenicity and Safety of Tetravalent Dengue Vaccine (TDV) Co-administered With an Hepatitis...

Healthy Volunteers

The purpose of this study is to investigate the immunogenicity and safety of the concomitant administration of TDV (subcutaneous [SC] injection) and of hepatitis A virus (HAV) vaccine (intramuscular [IM] injection) in healthy participants aged 18 to 60 years living in country(ies) non-endemic for both dengue and hepatitis.

Long-term Persistence of Immunity to Hepatitis B in Adults Vaccinated With GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)...

Hepatitis B Vaccine

The purpose of this study is to assess the long-term protection against HBV infection in adult subjects, aged 18-40 years vaccinated with three or four doses of Engerix-B 20 to 30 years ago

ADRENAL FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE HEPATITIS

Acute Hepatitis

A high frequency of adrenal dysfunction (AD) has been reported in severe acute hepatitis (SAH) using the dosage of serum total cortisol (STC). Because 90% of circulating serum cortisol is bound to proteins that are altered in SAH, we aimed to investigate the effect of decreased cortisol-binding proteins on STC, serum free cortisol (SFC) and salivary cortisol (SalivCort) in SAH. Baseline (T0) and cosyntropin-stimulated (T60) STC, SFC and SalivCort concentrations were measured
