Characterization of Dyschromic Hypertrophic Scar

Burn ScarHypertrophic Scar2 more

Currently, there are limited prevention or treatments available for dyschromia in burn hypertrophic scars (HTSs). The limited available techniques involve transferring melanocytes from unaffected areas to the scar to adjust pigment. These techniques involve the creation of a donor site and do not utilize the cells that may already be present in scars. This study aims to confirm melanocyte presence in regions of hypo- and hyper- pigmented HTS. If melanocytes can be found in regions of hypopigmentation, these scars may be able to be treated in the future by pigmentation stimulators without the need for surgery. Additionally, if pigmentation specific molecules of interest can be found to be up-regulated in hyperpigmented scar, these may be able to be altered by a pharmacotherapy.

Solar LentigoSenile Lentigo1 more

CS5_7 study aim to evaluate the tolerance and to adjust the mode of administration of two conditions of cryotherapy treatment applied on the brown spots of the face and hands with 1 prototype (816-v1). A brown spot is defined as solar or senile lentigo and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). The study will evaluate the following prototype : • Prototypes from (816-v1 201) to (816-v1 290)

Solar LentigoSenile Lentigo

CS5_4 study aim to evaluate the performance and the tolerance of 3 prototypes of cyto-selective cryotherapy treatments applied on the brown spots on the face and hands of asian ethnicity skins (chinese). A brown spot is defined as solar or senile lentigo (SSL) and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). Each treatment corresponds to a combination of a specific sequence of cryogenic spray and of a frequency of application. Each spot will be treated by a defined prototype (always the same device on the same spot all along the study). The study will evaluate the following prototype : Prototypes 1 Prototypes 2 Prototypes 3

Effects of IV-Administered Ca-DTPA and Zn-DTPA To Treat Patients With Gadolinium Deposition Disease...

HeadacheCognitive Disturbance2 more

Purpose: There are two goals we have for this prospective single arm study; to see an increase in the amount of gadolinium in 24 hour urine collection following each infusion treatment with Calcium and Zinc DTPA, and to see a reduction or elimination of gadolinium deposition disease (GDD) symptoms. Participants: Twenty (20) patients who are suffering from gadolinium deposition disease (GDD) Procedures: Over a series of three (3) treatment time-points patients will be treated with IV Ca-DTPA on day one, and Zn-DTPA on day two.

Evaluation of Microinjected Amnion-derived Collagen by Dermapen in the Smoothing of Skin Wrinkles...

Facial Wrinkles - Rough Texture - Hyperpigmentation

The aim of this work was to assess the efficacy of irradiated amniotic collagen matrix in comparison with platelet rich plasma in facial rejuvenation. The present study included 20 patients with facial wrinkles divided into 2 groups using split face technique: Group (A) subjected to microneedling with amnion gel on the right side of the face . Group (B) subjected to microneedling with PRP on the other side of the face.According to a skin analysis camera (antera camera), there was statistically significant improvement after treatment and between both groups as regard to the roughness(texture) and melanin appeared by Antera camera in which group (A) showed better improvement than group (B). Also, skin biopsies showed improvement in both sides after treatment in which the epidermis was thicker, collagen bundles were broader and thicker than before treatment also elastic fibers were longer, evenly arranged and thicker than before treatment. The patients were followed up over a period of 3 months after the last session with no complications or changes were occurred and the results of sessions were maintained.
