The purpose of this research study is to understand more about various heart rhythms (electrical problems) in persons with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with and without sleep apnea.

In this study, the investigators evaluated the association between various measures of adiposity [BMI and waist circumference (WC)] and clinical outcomes in Asian patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, using a nationwide population based cohort.

Biobank is a program which collects biological samples, health information and imaging data from consented patients and stored them at the core facility. These information would be used to study the molecular, imaging and outcome studies of cardiovascular health and disease.

In this study the investigators propose to detect early mitochondrial metabolic changes in the heart in patients with a positive genotype and phenotype for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) using a novel hyperpolarized [1-13C]pyruvate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) methodology.

With this study, it is aimed to compare the operative results and complication rates in transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR-P) performed by resectoscopes with two different bipolar and a monopolar energy sources.

Cardiac allograft remodeling causes poor quality of life, allograft failure and increased mortality after heart transplantation. Risk factors for cardiac allograft remodeling and its progression are poorly defined and there is a need for effective interventions.This is a multi-factorial phenomenon, associated with various immunological and non-immunological factors. Animal studies suggest M-TOR inhibition attenuates cardiac allograft remodeling secondary to down-regulation of M-TOR downstream targets and increased autophagy. There is a paucity of data regarding effect of Sirolimus, a M-TOR inhibitor, on human heart remodeling. This aim of the proposal to identify the prevalence of cardiac allograft remodeling on current immunosuppressive strategies and determine risk factors for its development. It will also identify molecular pathways associated with cardiac allograft remodeling and determine the impact of Sirolimus on these pathways.

To verify the safety and efficacy of the use of the plasma vaporisation button in Transurethral Vapor Enucleation and Resection of the prostate (TVERP) for treatment of Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) patients with prostate ˃30 and ≤80 ml compare to TURis or HoLEP surgery methods.

The aim of the study is to determine the analytical characteristics of the microRNA enzymatic immunoassay (miREIA) method and to determine various relations among miRNA biomarkers and heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction(HFrEF). The investigators assume that there are correlations between levels of selected miRNA and HFrEF. These correlations provide information to formulate pathophysiological conclusions, which will significantly contribute to early diagnostics and also the treatment of this disease.
