Imetelstat Sodium in Treating Young Patients With Refractory or Recurrent Solid Tumors or Lymphoma...
Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsLymphoma4 moreRATIONALE: Imetelstat sodium may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. PURPOSE: This phase I clinical trial is studying the side effects and best dose of imetelstat sodium in treating young patients with refractory or recurrent solid tumors or lymphoma.
Iodine I 131 Monoclonal Antibody 3F8 in Treating Patients With Central Nervous System Cancer or...
Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsIntraocular Melanoma8 moreRATIONALE: Radiolabeled monoclonal antibodies, such as iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody 3F8, can find tumor cells and carry tumor-killing substances to them without harming normal cells. This may be an effective treatment for central nervous system cancer or leptomeningeal metastases. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying the side effects and how well iodine I 131 monoclonal antibody 3F8 works in treating patients with central nervous system cancer or leptomeningeal cancer.
Clofarabine in Treating Patients With T-Cell or Natural Killer-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma That...
LeukemiaLymphoma1 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as clofarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of clofarabine and to see how well it works in treating patients with T-cell or natural killer-cell lymphoma that has relapsed or not responded to previous treatment.
Sunitinib in Treating Patients With Metastatic, Locally Advanced, or Locally Recurrent Sarcomas...
Adult Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of BoneDesmoid Tumor4 moreRATIONALE: Sunitinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sunitinib works in treating patients with metastatic, locally advanced, or locally recurrent sarcomas.
Cixutumumab, Everolimus, and Octreotide Acetate in Treating Patients With Advanced Low to Intermediate...
Gastrin-Producing Neuroendocrine TumorLung Carcinoid Tumor13 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of cixutumumab when given together with everolimus and octreotide acetate in treating patients with advanced low- or intermediate-grade neuroendocrine cancer. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cixutumumab, may find tumor cells and help carry tumor-killing substances to them. Everolimus may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Octreotide acetate may interfere with the growth of tumor cells and slow the growth of neuroendocrine cancer. Giving cixutumumab together with everolimus and octreotide acetate may be a better treatment for neuroendocrine cancer.
Motexafin Gadolinium and Doxorubicin in Treating Patients With Advanced Cancer
Breast CancerChronic Myeloproliferative Disorders11 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Motexafin gadolinium may increase the effectiveness of doxorubicin by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combining motexafin gadolinium with doxorubicin in treating patients who have recurrent or metastatic cancer.
Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, and Prednisone With or Without Gemcitabine in Treating...
LymphomaSmall Intestine CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone, and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one chemotherapy drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This randomized phase II trial is studying giving combination chemotherapy together with gemcitabine to see how well it works compared to giving combination chemotherapy alone in treating patients with previously untreated aggressive stage II, stage III, or stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Children With Metastatic Rhabdomyosarcoma or Other Malignant...
Ovarian CancerSarcoma1 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating children with metastatic rhabdomyosarcoma or other malignant mesenchymal tumors.
Combination Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Recurrent, Refractory, or Metastatic Solid Tumors...
Colorectal CancerEsophageal Cancer9 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combining gemcitabine, fluorouracil, and leucovorin in treating patients with recurrent, refractory, or metastatic solid tumors or lymphomas.
ZD0473 and Doxorubicin in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors or Lymphoma
LymphomaSmall Intestine Cancer2 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of combining ZD0473 and doxorubicin in treating patients who have advanced solid tumors or lymphoma.
