Decitabine in Treating Patients With Advanced Solid Tumors

Male Breast CancerRecurrent Bladder Cancer8 more

This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of decitabine in treating patients with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to previous treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die

Combination Chemotherapy and Peripheral Blood Stem Cell Transplant Followed By Aldesleukin and Sargramostim...

Estrogen Receptor-negative Breast CancerEstrogen Receptor-positive Breast Cancer6 more

This phase II trial studies how well giving combination chemotherapy and peripheral blood stem cell transplant followed by aldesleukin and sargramostim works in treating patients with inflammatory stage IIIB or metastatic stage IV breast cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as busulfan, melphalan, and thiotepa, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. A peripheral stem cell transplant may be able to replace blood-forming cells that were destroyed by chemotherapy. This may allow more chemotherapy to be given so that more tumor cells are killed. Aldesleukin may stimulate the white blood cells to kill breast cancer cells. Giving aldesleukin together with sargramostim may kill more tumor cells

Phase I-II Study of Interferon-gamma in Patients With HER-2 Positive Breast Cancer

Breast CancerBreast Cancer3 more

This purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and to find the optimal dose in participants with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) positive breast cancer who are given the combination of Interferon-gamma with paclitaxel, trastuzumab and pertuzumab. This study will also look at other effects of Interferon-gamma with paclitaxel, trastuzumab and pertuzumab, including its effect on this type of cancer. Interferon-gamma is a biologically manufactured protein that is similar to a protein the body makes naturally. In the body, interferon gamma is produced by immune cells and helps to prevent serious infections.

Paclitaxel and Bavituximab in Treating Patients With HER2-Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer

Human Epidermal Growth Factor 2 Negative Carcinoma of BreastMale Breast Cancer3 more

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bavituximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Giving paclitaxel together with bavituximab may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects of giving paclitaxel and bavituximab together in treating patients with Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor 2 (HER2 )-negative metastatic breast cancer

Vorinostat in Treating Patients With Stage IV Breast Cancer Receiving Hormone Therapy

Male Breast CancerRecurrent Breast Cancer1 more

This pilot clinical trial studies vorinostat in treating patients with stage IV breast cancer receiving hormone therapy. Vorinostat may help hormone therapy work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug.

Dinaciclib and Epirubicin Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Metastatic Triple-Negative Breast...

Estrogen Receptor NegativeHER2/Neu Negative5 more

This phase I clinical trial studies the side effects and the best dose of dinaciclib when given together with epirubicin hydrochloride (epirubicin) in patients with metastatic (cancer that has spread to other parts of the body) triple-negative breast cancer. Dinaciclib is designed to stop cancer cells from dividing into new cancer cells. Epirubicin is designed to block the way cancer cells grow and divide and may slow or stop cancer cells from spreading throughout the body. Researchers want to find out what is the highest tolerable dose of the experimental drug dinaciclib that can be given in combination with epirubicin in patients with metastatic triple negative breast cancer.

Tamoxifen +/- GnRH Analogue vs Aromatase Inhibitor + GnRH Analogue in Male Breast Cancer Patients...

Male Breast Cancer

A prospective, randomised multi-centre phase II study evaluating the adjuvant, neoadjuvant or palliative treatment with tamoxifen +/- GnRH analogue versus aromatase inhibitor + GnRH analogue in male breast cancer patients (MALE).

Omega-3 Fatty Acid in Treating Patients With Stage I-III Breast Cancer

Ductal Breast Carcinoma in SituLobular Breast Carcinoma in Situ7 more

This phase II clinical trial studies how well omega-3 fatty acid works in treating patients with stage I-III breast cancer. Studying samples of tissue and blood in the laboratory from breast cancer patients receiving omega-3 fatty acid may help doctors learn more about the effects of omega-3 fatty acid on tumor cells.

Propranolol Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Locally Recurrent or Metastatic Solid Tumors...

Male Breast CancerRecurrent Melanoma7 more

This pilot trial studies propranolol hydrochloride in treating patients with locally recurrent or metastatic solid tumors that cannot be removed by surgery. Propranolol hydrochloride may slow the growth of tumor cells by blocking the use of hormones by the tumor cells.

Vorinostat in Treating Patients With Stage IV Breast Cancer Receiving Aromatase Inhibitor Therapy...

Male Breast CancerRecurrent Breast Cancer1 more

This pilot clinical trial studies vorinostat in treating patients with stage IV breast cancer receiving aromatase inhibitor (AI) therapy. Vorinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Vorinostat may also help AI therapy work better by making tumor cells more sensitive to the drug
