Long-Term Exposure to Rizatriptan 5-mg and 10-mg Oral Tablet (Combined Extension Protocols MK-0462-022,...
Migraine DisordersThis record describes pooled data for three extension studies: MK-0462-022 (NCT00897949); MK-0462-025 (NCT00899379); and MK-0462-029 (NCT00897104). These studies examined the long-term safety and efficacy of rizatriptan used for the treatment of acute migraine and migraine recurrence.
Bringing Relief to Adolescents Naturally Using Melatonin for Migraine
Migraine in AdolescentsMigraine in adolescents is common and effective and safe preventive treatments are needed. This is a pilot randomized controlled trial of melatonin versus placebo for migraine prevention in adolescents 12-17 years old.

An Investigation of the Safety and Utility of Treximet in the Treatment of Menstrual Migraine
Menstrual MigraineThe study is to primarily investigate whether Treximet® (Imitrex RT/naproxen sodium 500mg) taken at the first onset of menstrual migraine will both terminate the acute headache and assist in preventing headache recurrence and the need for repeat abortive therapy over the ensuing days of menses.
Cathodal tDCS in Chronic Migraine: Neurophysiological Study and Pilot Therapeutic Trial
Chronic MigraineCathodal tDCS decreases the excitability of the cerebral cortex and its daily application during intercritical phase, may have a therapeutic effect in chronic migraine.
Anesthetic Blockades and Migraine
Chronic MigrainePainGreater occipital nerve (GON) anesthetic blockades are widely used for the treatment of headaches, yet its efficacy in migraine has hardly been assessed with controlled studies. The aim of this study is to evaluate the short-term clinical efficacy of GON anaesthetic blockades in chronic migraine and to analyze their effect on pressure pain thresholds (PPTs) in different areas. We hypothesize that those patients receiving real GON anesthetic blockade will receive greater improvements in pain nociception. We will conduct a double-blind, randomized, parallel and placebo-controlled clinical trial where one group will be treated with bilateral GON blockade with bupivacaine 0,5% and the other group will be treated with placebo.
