Effects of Percussive Massage Treatment With Theragun on Post Exercise Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness...

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness

This project will be Randomized control trial conducted to check the effects of percussive massage treatment with theragun on pain and muscle length on post exercise delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) of calf muscles in healthy population so that we can have best treatment option for people with delayed onset muscle soreness, duration will be of 6months,purposive sampling will be done, subject following eligibility criteria from kasrat health and fitness club, will randomly allocated in two groups, baseline assessment will be done, group A will be treated with 5 minutes of percussive massage and 5 minuties of static stretching exercises, while group B will be managed with 5 minutes of static stretching exercises only. Assessment will be done via, Numeric Pain Rating Scale(NPRS), Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) and goniometric measurements of passive ankle dorsi flexion for calf muscle length at baseline before intervention and immediately post intervention data will be analyzed by using SPSS version 25

The Effect of Pretreatment With Roc on Succinylcholine Myalgias

Myalgia

Succinylcholine is a medication (depolarizing muscle relaxant) that is used as part of an anesthetic (going to sleep for surgery). This medication can cause significant muscle soreness. Rocuronium is a medication (non-depolarizing muscle relaxant) that some anesthesia providers believe may reduce muscle soreness caused by succinylcholine if given prior, but this has been controversial. Some anesthesiologists pretreat patients with rocuronium before giving patients succinylcholine, and some do not. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of pretreatment with rocuronium on muscle soreness associated with succinylcholine administration.

Dry Needling Versus Intramuscular Stimulation in the Management of the Myofascial Trigger Points...

Trigger Point PainMyofascial2 more

Hypothesis The application of intramuscular electrostimulation will be more effectiveness than the dry needling in myofascial trigger points treatment. Objetives: To determine the effectiveness of intramuscular electrostimulation in the treatment of trigger points of the levator scapula muscle for the improvement of pain in mechanical cervicalgia. Participants: Subjects with diagnosed of myofascial pain syndrome in cervical region and active trigger points in levator scapulae muscle, randomly assigned to experimental or control group. Intervention: Control group: one session of dry needling in active trigger points; experimental group: one session of intramuscular stimulation in active trigger points. Main Outcomes Measures: Pain, pressure pain threshold (PPT), active cervical range of motion and strength muscle . The measures will be taken before, after and one week after the interventions.
