Autologous SCT Followed by Dendritic Cell p53 Vaccination in Patients With Limited Stage Small Cell...
Small Cell Lung CancerThe purpose of this study is to determine whether p53 vaccination followed by high dose chemotherapy and autologous HCT and T cell therapy significantly induces immune responses resulting in 1-year survival greater that the current 70%.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery in Treating Patients With Stage I or Stage II Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Stereotactic radiosurgery can send x-rays directly to the tumor and cause less damage to normal tissue. PURPOSE: This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of stereotactic radiosurgery in treating patients with stage I or stage II non-small cell lung cancer.

Sorafenib in Treating Non-Smokers or Former Light Smokers With Relapsed or Refractory Stage IIIB...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well sorafenib works in treating non-smokers or former light smokers with relapsed or refractory stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.

Trastuzumab Therapy in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Patients
NON-SMALL CELL LUNG CANCERThis is a prospective study assessing efficacy of trastuzumab therapy in pretreated NSCLC patients. Patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC, HER2 FISH positive and/or with HER2 gene mutation, pretreated with at least one previous chemotherapy line will be considered eligible for the trial. After evaluation of inclusion and exclusion criteria, and after signature of informed consensus form, all eligible patients will receive trastuzumab 6 mg/kg every 3 weeks (8 mg/kg loading dose) until disease progression, unacceptable toxicity or patient refusal.

Phase II Avastin Trial for Stage IIIB/IV NSCLC
Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Stage IIIBNon-small Cell Lung Cancer Stage IVThis is a randomized, open-label, multicenter study in 160 patients in first line treatment and 114 in second line treatment with advanced or metastatic NSCLC (Stage IIIB/IV).

Radiation Therapy (XRT) and ZD6474 in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Non-Small Cell Lung CancerPrimary Objectives: To assess the safety of oral therapy with ZD6474 by evaluating the frequency, severity, and duration of treatment-emergent adverse events in patients with poor prognosis lung cancer. To record the extent, frequency and duration of any tumor responses to this treatment regimen and assess whether ZD6474 augments the efficacy of radiation therapy in non-small cell lung cancer patients. To determine the recommended phase II dose of ZD6474 for future clinical studies with radiation therapy. Secondary Objectives: To determine the effects on metabolism and angiogenic factors by positron emission tomography (PET) scan/computed tomography (CT) scan , vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and circulating endothelial cell levels in patients treated with ZD6474 and radiation therapy.

Carboplatin With Either Paclitaxel Poliglumex or Paclitaxel in Treating Women With Stage IIIB, Stage...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, paclitaxel, and paclitaxel poliglumex, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. It is not yet known whether giving carboplatin together with paclitaxel poliglumex is more effective than giving carboplatin together with paclitaxel in treating non-small cell lung cancer. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying carboplatin and paclitaxel poliglumex to see how well they work compared with carboplatin and paclitaxel in treating women with stage III, stage IV, or recurrent non-small cell lung cancer.

Ph I/II Nab-Paclitaxel & Carboplatin w/Concurrent Radiation Therapy for Unresectable Stg III NSCLC...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells. Nab-paclitaxel (paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation) may make tumor cells more sensitive to radiation therapy. Giving nab-paclitaxel together with radiation therapy and carboplatin may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase I/II trial is studying the side effects and best dose of giving nab-paclitaxel together with carboplatin and radiation therapy and to see how well it works in treating patients with stage III non-small-cell lung cancer that cannot be removed by surgery.

PR104 in Treating Patients With Previously Untreated or Relapsed Small Cell Lung Cancer
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as PR-104, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well PR-104 works in treating patients with previously untreated or relapsed small cell lung cancer (SCLC).

Celecoxib as Adjuvant Biologic Therapy in Patients With Head and Neck and Lung Cancer
Head and Neck CancerLung CancerPrimary Objectives: To examine the effect of celecoxib treatment on histological response, markers of proliferation (Ki-67), and apoptosis. Secondary endpoints include time to second primary or recurrence and survival. To examine the toxicity associated with celecoxib administration in patients with previously treated Head and Neck Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC)or Non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).
