Preoperative Chemotherapy and Bevacizumab in Patients With Stage IB (>4 cm), II, or Select Stage...
Non-Small Cell Lung CancerThe rationale for this multicenter, phase II trial is to examine the impact of carboplatin/paclitaxel with bevacizumab in the preoperative treatment of patients with stage IB (> 4.0 cm), II, and select stage III NSCLC. If this novel regimen proves to be safe and active in this setting, this would provide rationale for further investigation in a larger, prospective, randomized setting.

S0819: Carboplatin and Paclitaxel With or Without Bevacizumab and/or Cetuximab in Treating Patients...
Recurrent Large Cell Lung CarcinomaRecurrent Lung Adenocarcinoma4 moreThis randomized phase III trial studies carboplatin and paclitaxel to compare how well they work with or without bevacizumab and/or cetuximab in treating patients with stage IV or non-small cell lung cancer that has returned after a period of improvement (recurrent). Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Bevacizumab may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumor needs to grow. Cetuximab may also stop cancer cells from growing by binding and interfering with a protein on the surface of the tumor cell that is needed for tumor growth. It is not yet known whether giving carboplatin and paclitaxel are more effective with or without bevacizumab and/or cetuximab in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Surgery, Gemcitabine, Cisplatin, and Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients With Stage II or Stage...
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine and cisplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) together with radiation therapy after surgery may kill any tumor cells that remain after surgery. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well surgery followed by gemcitabine, cisplatin, and radiation therapy works in treating patients with stage II or stage III non-small cell lung cancer.

GSK1572932A Antigen-Specific Cancer Immunotherapeutic as Adjuvant Therapy in Patients With Non-Small...
Lung CancerNon-Small CellThe purpose of this clinical trial is to demonstrate the benefit of the immunotherapeutic product GSK1572932A when given to patients with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, after removal of their tumor. A course of 13 injections will be administered over 27 months. The Protocol Posting has been updated in order to comply with the FDA Amendment Act, Sep 2007.

A Clinical Trial of Vorinostat (MK0683, SAHA) in Combination With FDA Approved Cancer Drugs in Patients...
Stage IIIB or IV Non-Small Cell Lung CancerThis Phase III clinical trial which incorporates an initial Phase II component will determine the survival of advanced Non-small cell lung cancer patients when treated with MK0683 and paclitaxel plus carboplatin

Vaccine Therapy in Treating Patients With Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Stages IIIB/IV
Non-small-cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Stage IIIb/IVThe purpose of this study is to determine whether the recombinant human EGF-rP64K/Montanide ISA 51 vaccine is safe, immunogenic and effective in the treatment of stage IIIb/IV non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Ph II of Vinflunine and Cetuximab in Second Line Treatment of NSCLC
Lung CancerRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as vinflunine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as cetuximab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Others interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving vinflunine together with cetuximab may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving vinflunine together with cetuximab works as second-line therapy in treating patients with stage IIIB or stage IV non-small cell lung cancer.

Zalutumumab in Combination With Chemo-Radiation in a Certain Type of Lung Cancer
Non Small Cell Lung CancerThe purpose of the study is to investigate if treatment with zalutumumab in combination with chemotherapy and radiotherapy (chemo-radiation) will lead to a prolonged life in patients with lung cancer compared to patients treated with chemo-radiation alone.

A Study to Treat Small Cell Lung Cancer With a Combination of Cisplatin, Pemetrexed, and Radiotherapy...
Small Cell Lung CancerCarcinoma2 moreThe purpose of this study is to determine the recommended dose of pemetrexed, cisplatin and radiotherapy in the treatment of patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer.

Randomized Trial of Docetaxel and Gemcitabine Versus Gemcitabine in Elderly Patients With NSCLC...
Non-small-cell Lung CancerThis trial will compare the efficacy of the docetaxel and gemcitabine combination versus monotherapy with gemcitabine as first-line treatment in elderly patients with advanced NSCLC
