The Impact of Electrocoagulation on Ovarian Reserve After Laparoscopic Excision of Ovarian Cysts....
Ovarian EndometriomaOvary CystThe aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of bipolar electrocoagulation on ovarian reserve.

Are the Combined Oral Contraceptive Pills Needed for Management of the Simple Ovarian Cysts in Reproductive...
Ovary CystWomen will be managed by either of the two modalities and will be followed up by transvaginal ultrasound monthly for three successive months to evaluate the size and location of the functional ovarian cyst (follicular), to compare the effect of different modalities of management whether remission, regression, progression or persistence of functional ovarian cyst. The women will be assigned randomly to either study group to take oral contraceptive pills or to control group to take placebo. The 2 groups will be treated and followed up equally. Oral contraceptive pills will be given to the study group as follow: The women will receive one package of oral contraception (Cilest containing norgestimate 250 microgram + ethinyl estradiol 35 microgram) and will be counseled about how to take oral contraception and informed of possible side effects. They also will receive a diary card for recording oral contraception intake to be returned to the physician on the next period. An appointment for the women in this group will be scheduled at one month of treatment for the second ultra-sonography. If the ovarian cyst does not show remission, the women will continue the same treatment and will follow up in another month by transvaginal ultra-sound. If the ovarian cyst still persists or progresses at the second month, the women will be followed up for third month. All results of the two groups will be compared. Data will be collected, tabulated according to the standard statistical method.

The Efficacy of Progestins in Treatment of Functional Ovarian Cyst
Functional Ovarian CystProgesteroneThe aim of this study is to determine whether the use of progesterone only pills has a beneficial effect over the expectant management of functional ovarian cyst or not , through a sample of female patients within the reproductive years

Anti-inflammatory Cells in Peritoneal Cavity
Ovarian CystsChronic Renal InsufficiencySome subsets of lymphocytes are able to inhibit immune response and thus, could be used to control auto-immune diseases and transplant reject. In mice, the main source of those anti-inflammatory lymphocytes is the peritoneal cavity. No data are available in human. This study aims at exploring the presence of those anti-inflammatory lymphocytes in human peritoneal cavity and at determine how to expand those cells.

ONSD According to the Position During Laparoscopy
CholecystitisOvarian Cyst3 moreIncrease of intracerebral pressure (ICP) during laparoscopic surgery has known to be associated with positional changes. Optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) has correlation with ICP and ultrasonographic measurement of optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is known to be a noninvasive and rapidly applicable technique for evaluating ICP. The aim of this study is to investigate the change of ONSD according to the positional change during laparoscopic surgery.

The Impact on Ovarian Reserve After Single-port, Two-port, or Four-port Access Laparoscopic Ovarian...
Ovarian CystThe purpose of this study is to investigate the impact on ovarian reserve after single- port, two-port, or four-port access laparoscopic ovarian cyst enucleation based on serum anti mullerian hormone change.

Laparoscopic Single-site Surgery Versus Conventional Entry in Ovarian Cystectomy
Ovarian Cyst BenignThe aim of this work is to evaluate the postoperative consequences of laparoendoscopic single site surgery relative to conventional laparoscopy in presumed benign ovarian cyst. The hypothesis is that single incision technique might offer advantages over the standard multi-port laparoscopy as potentially leading to less postoperative pain and improved cosmoses from a relatively hidden umbilical scar, as well as risk reduction of postoperative wound infection, hernia formation and elimination of multiple trocar site closure

Ovarian Clear Cell Adenocarcinoma Review
Ovarian CystsClear cell carcinoma comprises 5-10% of surface epithelial ovarian cancers, and about 30-40% of the patients with clear cell carcinoma are diagnosed in the advanced stage. The investigators studied the response to chemotherapy and survival for either paclitaxel-platinum based chemotherapy or conventional platinum-based chemotherapy among all stages clear cell ovarian carcinoma. Prognostic factors for survival among the patients with pure, advanced, clear cell ovarian carcinoma were also evaluated.

Implementation of 23 Hour Surgery Model in a Tertiary Hospital
Ambulatory SurgeryLaparoscopy7 moreExtended day surgery or 23 h surgery (23-hour surgery) is a surgical model where patients arrive to the hospital from home at the day of surgery, are operated and recover in a 23 h surgery unit. 23H surgery units are usually situated near postoperative recovery unit. THe 23 H surgical model was implemented in Kuopio University Hospital 2015 and between May 2017-May 2018 patients were recruited in the present prospective follow up cohort study. Patients were informed and they gave their informed consent. The patients were contacted two weeks after the study and details of their recovery were asked.

Transvaginal Ultrasound Training for Obstetrics and Gynecology Residents
Ovarian CystsObstetrics and gynecology residents are deemed to be proficient in transvaginal ultrasound (TVUS) upon graduation from an accredited program, although TVUS education in residency is not standardized. The objective of this study is to assess for improvement in transvaginal ultrasound knowledge among residents after viewing an educational DVD.
