Evaluation of Outcomes With Umbilical Cord Allograft for Musculoskeletal Conditions Musculoskeletal...
OsteoarthritisTendinitis6 moreThe aim of the study is to determine the efficacy of an Amniotic Fluid Tissue Product for pain relief and functional improvements for all types of musculoskeletal conditions. The study is prospective, with outcome measures being obtained at numerous time points after the regenerative procedure.

Pelvic Pain Education and Skills Training for Women Veterans
Pelvic PainDistress1 moreThe goals of this pilot randomized clinical trial are three-fold: 1) to test the feasibility of conducting a larger randomized trial using a brief Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) group intervention for women veterans with pelvic pain compared to usual care; 2) assess treatment acceptability by women veterans, and 3) identify appropriate pain-related treatment outcomes for the larger randomized trial. Participants will be randomly assigned to participate in either the ACT condition or treatment as usual condition, complete three surveys (before, after, and 3-months after first survey), and complete a phone interview (if assigned to the ACT condition). Researchers will compare the ACT condition and treatment as usual condition to see if there are meaningful differences in health outcomes. Due to the small sample size and pilot nature of this study, significance testing will not be performed.

Acupuncture for Female With Non-cyclic Chronic Pelvic Pain
Chronic Pelvic PainChronic pelvic pain (CPP) is one of the common symptoms of women at childbearing age. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy of acupuncture for female with non-cyclic chronic pelvic pain. A three-arm randomized controlled trial (RCT) using acupuncture, sham acupuncture and waiting list with a total sample of 150 will be conducted.

Extracorporeal Shockwave and Myofascial Release Therapy in Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome
Chronic Pelvic Pain SyndromeThe primary aims of this research are three folds: (1) To identify more relatively effective interventions for improving pain symptoms in CP/CPPS patients. (2) To ascertain the correlation between PFM elastic modulus and tenderness symptoms. This may find a more objective method of assessing efficacy. (3) To determine the correlation between the intensity of the sympathetic response and the patient's symptoms and to explore other possible pathogenetic mechanisms.

Patient Reported Outcomes Following Interventional Procedures in Pelvic Pain
Pudendal NeuralgiaThe investigators aim from this study, to determine the safety and efficacy of pulsed radiofrequency in the management of pudendal neuralgia, compared to current a standard intervention, which is corticosteroid injection for PN, as part of multidisciplinary pain management.

BTA vs Baclofen for Pelvic Myofascial Pain Syndrome
Chronic PainChronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome3 moreThe aim of the study is to test the hypothesis that oral taking of baclofen in therapeutic dosage for 60 days is equally effective as injection of botulinum toxin type "A" in the area of trigger points of the pelvic muscles.

Microbiomes of Pelvic Pain
Interstitial CystitisChronic Prostatitis4 moreThis research study seeks to provide more insight as to how the microbiome affects or is affected by conditions causing chronic pelvic pain such as Interstitial Cystitis (IC), Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CP/CPPS), Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS), or Overactive bladder (OAB). Depression and many chronic pain disorders are often related and are poorly understood, and treatment is often not helpful. The goal of this study is to explain pelvic pain characteristics and causes by studying microbiomes of healthy people compared to people suffering from IC, CP/CPPS, LUTS, OAB, and Major depression.

Quantify the Degree of Pain Relief of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome Following Gonadal Vein Embolization...
Pelvic Congestive SyndromePelvic PainThe primary objective is to quantify the degree of pain relief in patients undergoing gonadal vein embolization with coils as well as identify clinical or imaging factors that are predictive of a positive response to treatment, or poor response to treatment.

Effects of Manual Lymphatic Drainage on Pregnancy Induced Lumbo-Pelvic Pain
Low Back PainThis study will be a randomized controlled trial. This study will be conducted in Civil Hospital, Hassan Abdal. A sample size of 32 patients will be taken. Patients will be divided into two groups by lottery method. Group A will be treated with hot pack followed by Manual Lymphatic Drainage while Group B will be given home based plan of hot pack application only. Both groups will receive treatment for 4 weeks,2 sessions per week. The outcome measures Numeric pain rating scale(NPRS), QOL-GRAV and Oswestry Disability Index for back. Data will be analyzed by SPSS 21.

Identifying Genetic Causes of IC/BPS
Interstitial CystitisBladder Pain Syndrome1 moreInterstitial cystitis (IC), also called Bladder Pain syndrome (BPS), or chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CPPS) is a common condition with no known cause or cure. Twin studies and family accounts have suggested that the condition may be genetic or passed down (inherited) from one generation to another. In this study, we are collecting genetic material and medical information from families in North America in an attempt to identify genetic factors that may cause IC/BPS/CPPS. We are enrolling families and individuals with IC/BPS/CPPS and their family members (both family members with and without IC like symptoms).
