RhEGF Incorporated in An Absorbable Collagen Membrane for The Management Of Gingival Recession Defects...

Periodontitis

A sulcular incision will be made through each recession area and the tissues will be gradually undermined including the base of the interdental papilla. At the recession sites rhEGF incorporated absorbable collagen membrane will be gradually manipulated into the pouch through the tunnel till it covers the recession sites and will be stabilized with sutures.

Clinical and Radiographic Evaluation of Guided Tissue Regeneration With Radiation-sterilized Allogenic...

PeriodontitisAggressive

The treatment of intrabony defects in patients with aggressive periodontitis remains a challenging procedure and novel therapeutic strategies are sought. The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical and radiographic outcomes of using guided tissue regeneration (GTR) with radiation-sterilized allogenic bone grafts (material prepared in the Central Tissue Bank in Warsaw, Poland) versus guided tissue regeneration with xenogenic grafts (Bio-Oss®, Geistlich Biomaterials, Princeton, New Jersey, United States) in the treatment of localized intrabony defects in patients with aggressive periodontitis.

Novel Photosensitizer in The Treatment of Chronic Periodontitis

PeriodontitisAlveolar Bone Loss

The aim of this study is to evaluate the periodontal outcomes after applying antimicrobial photodynamic therapy with a novel photosensitizer as compared to LASER assisted scaling and root planing alone.

Evaluation of Multiple Subgingival Irrigations.

PeriodontitisAdult

The study will be conducted at the Department of Periodontology, Cliniques universitaires Saint Luc. Patients diagnosed with Generalized Chronic Periodontitis (GChP) based on the current classification of the American Academy of Periodontology will be included. Detailed medical, periodontal and dental history will be obtained. Those who will fulfill the inclusion/exclusion criteria will be invited to participate in the study.

Modified Entire Papilla Preservation Technique For Treatment Of Intrabony Defects. Clinical Trial....

PeriodontitisRegeneration

Regeneration of periodontal tissues is the primary goal of periodontal surgery regenerative procedures. Most techniques include an incision of the interdental papilla associated with defect. That may impair the volume and integrity of interdental tissues. Azzi et al. proposed a novel technique (Entire Papilla Preservation Technique, EPPT) for bone regeneration to secure the integrity of interdental papillae. This study will search for differences in regeneration therapy of isolated interdental intrabony between Modified Entire Papilla Preservation Technique (MEPPT) alone and combined with EMD, demineralised freeze- dried bone allograft and sCTG. Moreover the aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical applicability and one- year outcomes in the regenerative treatment of isolated deep intrabony defects.

GCF Annexin-A1, Carbonic Anhydrase-1, and Elongation Factor-1 Gamma Levels in Periodontitis

PeriodontitisPeriodontal Inflammation

The study aimed to investigate gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) levels of possible novel biomarkers Annexin-A1 (ANX A1), Carbonic anhydrase- 1 (CA I), and Elongation Factor-1 Gamma (EF1-Ɣ) in health along with different periodontal diseases. In total, 80 systemically healthy individuals were included in this study; 20 with periodontitis stage 3 grade B , 20 with periodontitis stage 3 grade C (P-Stage III/C), 19 with gingivitis, and 21 with clinically healthy periodontium. Probing depth, clinical attachment level, plaque index, and papillary bleeding index were recorded. GCF ANX A1, CA I and EF1-Ɣ levels were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Receiver operating characteristics curve was used for estimating the under the curve.
