Biomarkers in Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma
SarcomaRATIONALE: Studying samples of tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and identify biomarkers related to cancer. PURPOSE: This research study is studying biomarkers in patients with rhabdomyosarcoma.

Evaluating Dactinomycin and Vincristine in Young Patients With Cancer
Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaChildhood Rhabdomyosarcoma7 moreThis laboratory study is evaluating how well dactinomycin and vincristine work in treating young patients with cancer. Studying samples of blood and urine in the laboratory from patients with cancer may help doctors learn how dactinomycin and vincristine affect the body and how patients will respond to treatment.

Collecting and Storing Tissue, Blood, and Bone Marrow Samples From Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma...
Adult RhabdomyosarcomaChildhood Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor14 moreThe purpose of this study is to collect and store tumor tissue, blood, and bone marrow samples from patients with soft tissue sarcoma that will be tested in the laboratory. Collecting and storing samples of tumor tissue, blood, and bone marrow from patients to test in the laboratory may help the study of cancer.

Biomarker in Tumor Tissue Samples From Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma

PURPOSE: This research trial studies biomarkers in tumor tissue samples from patients with rhabdomyosarcoma.

Studying Genes in Samples From Younger Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma
SarcomaRATIONALE: Studying samples of blood and tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn more about changes that occur in DNA and find biomarkers related to cancer. It may also help doctors find better ways to treat cancer. PURPOSE: This research trial studies genes in samples from younger patients with rhabdomyosarcoma.

Markers of Anthracycline-Related Cardiac Muscle Injury
OsteosarcomaEwing's Sarcoma Family of Tumors2 moreAnthracycline antibiotics are included in the chemotherapy regimens of approximately 82% of patients with bone cancer and 44% of those with soft tissue sarcoma diagnosed in childhood or adolescence. Impaired cardiac function occurs after treatment with anthracyclines. The frequency of impairment increases with increasing cumulative dose. There are inadequate data regarding the relationship between doxorubicin administration and changes in serum levels of cardiac troponin T (cTn-T) or I (cTn-I), N-terminal (NT) brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), or tissue Doppler imaging parameters. This non-therapeutic study proposes a prospective, single arm study of serial changes in tissue Doppler imaging parameters, cTn-T and NT-BNP in children and adolescents with malignant bone and soft tissue tumors whose planned chemotherapy includes treatment with ≥ 375 mg/m2 of doxorubicin. The proposed study will rigorously evaluate the usefulness of serial determinations of tissue Doppler imaging, cTn-T and NT-BNP for very early identification of anthracycline-related myocardial injury. Demonstration that one or more of these markers identifies subclinical myocardial damage and that biomarker or tissue Doppler imaging parameters exhibit a dose-response relationship with cumulative doxorubicin dose would facilitate intervention trials in patients at risk for anthracycline cardiomyopathy.

Biomarkers in Patients With Advanced Rhabdomyosarcoma
Adult RhabdomyosarcomaChildhood Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma6 moreThis research trial studies tumor tissue to identify important proteins and biomarkers from patients with rhabdomyosarcoma that has spread to other places in the body and usually cannot be cured or controlled with treatment. Studying samples of tumor tissue from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors identify biomarkers related to cancer.

Retrospective Study in FFPE Samples From Younger Patients With Rhabdomyosarcoma
Alveolar Childhood RhabdomyosarcomaEmbryonal Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma1 moreThis retrospective study is looking into mechanisms of drug therapy resistance in FFPE samples in recurrent and refractory Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in pediatric patients who have experienced lung recurrence. The study employs advanced techniques such as single-cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics to gain a comprehensive understanding of these mechanisms.
