Study to Investigate the Optimal Dose of Org 36286 to Induce Monofollicular Ovulation in Women With...
InfertilityThe objectives of this trial were to investigate the feasibility and the optimal dose of a single administration of Org 36286 to induce monofollicular ovulation in women with WHO Group II anovulatory infertility and to assess the safety (including the absence of antibody formation) of Org 36286.
A Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of DR-2011 for In Vitro Fertilization
InfertilityThis is a multi-center study to evaluate the effects of DR-2011 compared to a progesterone gel in women undergoing in vitro fertilization with fresh eggs. The overall study duration will be approximately 12 months and will involve ovarian suppression/stimulation protocols as well as egg retrieval.
Synchronization of Follicle Wave Emergence and Ovarian Stimulation
InfertilityThe objective of the study is to elucidate the effect of synchronizing initiation of ovarian stimulation treatment with follicular wave emergence in poor responder patients undergoing IVF/ICSI and ET. We hypothesize that initiating treatment on day 1 versus day 4 of the cycle will increase the number of follicles recruited and oocytes retrieved.
Flexible GnRH Antagonist vs Flare up GnRH Agonist Protocol in Poor Responders
InfertilityPremature Ovarian FailureThe purpose of this study is to compare ovulation induction using a flexible GnRH antagonist protocol and flare up GnRH agonist protocol in IVF patients with poor response to ovarian stimulation. Our hypothesis is that the antagonist protocol provides better IVF outcomes compared to the flare up protocol in this group of patients.
Conventional Infertility Treatment vs. Fast Track to IVF
InfertilityThe purpose of this randomized prospective clinical trial is to determine whether an infertility treatment that moves quickly to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is more cost effective than the usual treatment strategy which includes various combinations of infertility drugs and intrauterine insemination (IUI) prior to utilizing In Vitro Fertilization.
Intracervical Block Versus Placebo to Assess Pain Control During Hysterosalpingogram
InfertilityThe purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of 1% lidocaine intracervical block to placebo for pain control during the performance of a hysterosalpingogram (HSG). We hypothesized that an intracervical block would decrease pain during a hysterosalpingogram.
The Relationship Between Personality Traits and Perioperative Anesthetic Drug Consumption
AnesthesiaInfertilityIn this study, we aimed to examine the association between personality traits and amount of anesthetic drug consumption,of the patients who will receive sedoanalgesia for the oocyte retrieval procedure. As well as determining the anxiety scores in the preoperative period, the time to reach the desired sedation level, hemodynamic parameters in the perioperative period, peripheral oxygen saturation, EtCO2 value, postoperative pain, postanesthetic recovery, analgesic drug need, unconscious movement, and patient satisfaction.
Zona Pellucida Bound Sperm vs. Embryologist Selected Sperm for Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection...
InfertilityThis study aims to assess the clinical significance of the intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) with zona-pellucida (ZP) bound sperm compared to ICSI with embryologist selected sperm for patients undergoing in vitro fertilization treatment of their infertility.
Use of Clomiphene Citrate as an Inhibitor of Ovulation in an Oocyte Cryopreservation Cycle
InfertilityFemale1 moreIn vitro fertilization (IVF) has helped countless couples conceive where they otherwise were unable, but does come at a significant cost. A large portion of that cost is in the medications that allow for controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. One aspect of treatment is in ovulation inhibition to allow for supraphysiologic recruitment of oocytes prior to natural ovulation. Historically, GnRH agonist and antagonists have been used. However, these are subcutaneous injections and can be costly. Clomiphene citrate is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that acts as an estrogen antagonist in the hypothalamus and pituitary and is an inexpensive oral agent. It may be used as an inhibitor of ovulation in IVF in theory but this has never been attempted to the best of our knowledge.
Educational and Supportive Care to Depressed Infertile Females
InfertilityFemale2 moreInfertility affects married adults, and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) that can be treated. Women undergoing IVF are more likely to experience depression. There is a need to reduce depression by supporting and advising sufferers. The aim of this study is to evaluate pharmacist counseling's impact on pregnancy rates in depressed infertile females during IVF treatment.
