The carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common entrapment neuropathy caused by compression of the median nerve at the wrist.Clinically electroneuphysiological assessment is not accessible to all clinicians. In this way ultrasounds (US) is a more accessible and economical tool and many studies have reported that US has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of CTS.Diacutaneous Fibrolysis (DF) is a physiotherapeutic technique derived from Cyriax deep friction massage principles.DF technique could assist in improving changes in the connective tissues adjacent to the median nerve, especially the thickness of TCL and this could be reflected in a decreasing of TCL. Moreover, the neurophysiological and mechanical effect described by this technique may improve the nerve compression decreasing the CSA of the median nerve. The purpose of this study is to quantify changes in the cross-sectional area of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel and the thickness of transversal carpal ligament measured by US and the changes in the intensity of the numbness and the subjective assessment of clinical change after DF treatment in forearm, wrist and hand area compared to placebo.

Patellofemoral pain syndrome is a condition of misleading diagnosis. It mostly affects individuals with ages between 18-40 years. It is believed that much work has been done on the joint itself in treating the Quadriceps muscles and triggers related to it but now literature is focusing on the segmental involvement, where weakness of the hip abductors and lateral rotators play a major role. Therefore, interventions used for treating this syndrome should include on focusing the hip muscles for trigger point therapy as well as strengthening them in increasing the stability of the hip and pelvis to reduce excessive valgus forces on the knee.

Palliative Care is active holistic care offered to people who are in intense suffering related to their health, resulting from a serious life-threatening illness, with a focus on improving the quality of life. Among the symptoms that cause suffering, physical pain has a prominent role in terms of prevalence and impact on well-being, especially in the subgroup of patients with terminal cancer. Myofascial Pain Syndrome may be one of the components of pain in cancer patients in palliative care. However, the literature is scarce in defining the prevalence of this condition in this population, and there is no evidence of the benefit of needling treatment with 1% lidocaine in these patients until now. The objectives of this study are to determinate the prevalence of myofascial pain syndrome and to evaluate the effectiveness of myofascial pain treatment with 1% lidocaine injection in reducing pain in palliative cancer patients, comparing it with a control group in usual care.

Although some drugs may improve symptoms and prevent SS complications, they can cause significant adverse effects and even fail to relieve symptoms. Integrative and complementary techniques have become a therapeutic option for SS patients. Scientific evidence has supported the efficacy of acupuncture in relieving symptoms of xerostomia and xerophthalmia. Due to the lack of well-controlled and standardized clinical studies, this study aimed to conduct a randomized and controlled trial to determine the efficacy of acupuncture as a therapeutic option for SS patients' symptoms relief.
