Irritable Bowel Syndrome With ConstipationChronic ConstipationThe objective of this study is to assess the long-term safety of linaclotide administered to patients with chronic constipation (CC) or irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C).

Unrelated Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation(HSCT) for Genetic Diseases of Blood Cells
Sickle Cell DiseaseThalassemia10 moreThis is a clinical trial of bone marrow transplantation for patients with the diagnosis of a genetic disease of blood cells that do not have an HLA-matched sibling donor. Genetic diseases of blood cell include: Red blood cell defects e.g. hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell disease and thalassemia), Blackfan-Diamond anemia and congenital or chronic hemolytic anemias; White blood cells defects/immune deficiencies e.g. chronic granulomatous disease, Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome,Osteopetrosis, Kostmann's syndrome (congenital neutropenia), Hereditary Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH); Platelets defects e.g.Congenital amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia; Metabolic/storage disorders e.g. leukodystrophies, mucopolysaccharidoses as Hurler disease;Stem cell defects e.g.reticular agenesis, among many other rare similar conditions. The study treatment plan uses a new transplant treatment regimen that aims to try to decrease the acute toxicities and complications associated with the standard treatment plans and to improve outcome The blood stem cells will be derived from either unrelated donor or unrelated umbilical cord blood.

Treatment of the Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome With a Combination of Pravastatin and Zoledronic...
Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria SyndromeWe suggest treating the Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome by two molecules (zoledronic acid and pravastatin). The therapeutic approach which we propose has for objectives to reduce, to prevent or to delay the gravest infringements of the disease, to prolong the life of the children, and in a more general way, aim at improving their living conditions.

Rivaroxaban in Combination With Aspirin Alone or With Aspirin and a Thienopyridine in Patients With...
Acute Coronary SyndromeThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety of rivaroxaban in patients with recent acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and to assess the ability of rivaroxaban to reduce the occurrence of death, myocardial infarction (heart attack), repeat myocardial infarctions, stroke, and ischemia (inadequate blood supply to a local area) in patients with recent ACS.

The Effect of Growth Hormone in Very Young Girls With Turner Syndrome
Turner SyndromeThis study investigated the effect of growth hormone on the growth of infants and toddlers with Turner syndrome during 2 years of treatment with growth hormone. This was compared with the growth of infants and toddlers with Turner syndrome who did not receive any growth hormone treatment. The overall aim was to prevent the growth failure usually seen during this period. The study also looked at middle ear disease, hearing problems, and cognitive and behavioral development.

Effects of Optimized Antiplatelet Treatment After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Ischemic Heart DiseaseAcute Coronary SyndromesEffects of dual antiplatelet therapy with aspirin and clopidogrel after percutaneous coronary intervention has been proven. However, patients with low response to those agents are reported be associated with adverse clinical outcomes. We suppose that optimized antiplatelet therapy for individual patients based on platelet function assay may improve long-term outcomes especially in patients with high risk of thrombosis. In this prospective randomized study, patients in control group all receive standard dual antiplatelet therapy, and patients in optimized group receive different antiplatelet therapy according to risk stratification.

Polycystic Ovary SyndromeHyperinsulinismOBJECTIVES: I. Determine whether reduction of serum insulin levels by metformin increases ovulatory response to clomiphene citrate in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Chemotherapy in Treating Children With Down Syndrome and Myeloproliferative Disorder, Acute Myelogenous...
LeukemiaMyelodysplastic Syndromes1 moreRATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Combining more than one drug may kill more tumor cells. PURPOSE: Phase III trial to study the effectiveness of combination chemotherapy in treating children who have Down syndrome and myeloproliferative disorder, acute myelogenous leukemia, or myelodysplastic syndrome.

AIDS-related Peripheral/Systemic LymphomaAIDS-related Primary CNS Lymphoma52 moreDrugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop cancer cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. This phase I trial is studying the side effects and best dose of 17-N-allylamino-17-demethoxygeldanamycin in treating patients with advanced epithelial cancer, malignant lymphoma, or sarcoma

EMD 121974 in Treating Patients With Locally Advanced or Metastatic Cancer
Chronic Myeloproliferative DisordersLeukemia7 moreRATIONALE: EMD 121974 may stop the growth of cancer by stopping blood flow to the tumor. PURPOSE: Phase I trial to study the effectiveness of EMD 121974 in treating patients who have locally advanced or metastatic cancer.
