ASIA Down Syndrome Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia 2016

Down SyndromeAcute Lymphoblastic Leukemia1 more

To evaluate the outcome of a prednisolone and low dose methotrexate based protocol in Down syndrome children with ALL (DS-ALL) in an Asia-wide study. The treatment protocol was modified based upon backbone of Taiwan Pediatric Oncology Group (TPOG)-ALL protocol in which risk classification will be guided by level of flow minimal residual disease (MRD) instead.

The CHILD Trial: Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome Study.

Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome

The objectives of this pilot study are to evaluate the feasibility and safety of intramyocardial injection of autologous c-kit+ cells during the Stage II BDCPA operation and to observe effects on clinical outcome including right ventricular myocardial function, severity of tricuspid regurgitation, incidence of serious adverse events, re-hospitalizations, changes in health status, the need for transplantation, or mortality.

Active Myeloid Target Compound Combinations in MDS/MPN Overlap Syndromes Overlap Syndromes (ABNL-MARRO)...

MDS/MPN

ABNL-MARRO (A Basket study of Novel therapy for untreated MDS/MPN and Relapsed/Refractory Overlap Syndromes) is an international European-American cooperation providing the framework for collaborative studies to advance treatment of myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative neoplasms (MDS/MPN) and explore clinical-pathologic markers of disease severity, prognosis and treatment response. ABNL MARRO 001 (AM-001) is an Open label, phase 1/2 study within the framework of the ABNL-MARRO that will test novel treatment combinations in MDS/MPN. Each Arm of AM-001 will test an active myeloid target compound in combination with ASTX727, an oral drug combining fixed doses of the DNA methyltransferase inhibitor (DNMTi) decitabine and the cytidine deaminase inhibitor E7727, also known as cedazuridine in a single tablet.

Cord Blood Transplant With Dilanubicel for the Treatment of HIV Positive Hematologic Cancers

Acute Erythroid LeukemiaAcute Lymphoblastic Leukemia10 more

This phase II trial studies the side effects of a cord blood transplant using dilanubicel and to see how well it works in treating patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive hematologic (blood) cancers. After a cord blood transplant, the immune cells, including white blood cells, can take a while to recover, putting the patient at increased risk of infection. Dilanubicel consists of blood stem cells that help to produce mature blood cells, including immune cells. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as fludarabine, cyclophosphamide, and thiotepa, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Total body irradiation is a type of whole-body radiation. Giving chemotherapy and total-body irradiation before a cord blood transplant with dilanubicel may help to kill any cancer cells that are in the body and make room in the patient's bone marrow for new stem cells to grow and reduce the risk of infection.

Vitamin D as a Nutritional Neoadjuvant During Photodynamic Therapy of Basal Cell Carcinoma

Basal Cell CarcinomaBasal Cell Nevus Syndrome

The purpose of this study is to study 50 patients with multiple Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) who will be receiving Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) as treatment for their tumors. This study wants to establish the optimal conditions for treating BCC tumors with PDT. Previous research suggests that taking Vitamin D prior to the start of PDT could help improve the effectiveness of the treatment in eliminating the BCC. Overall, this study will help establish oral Vitamin D3/PDT as a new combination therapy for skin cancer (BCC). Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is an investigational (experimental) technique that works by combining a photosensitizing topical agent and an intense light source to kill tumor cells. PDT is currently approved for the treatment of BCC in Europe, Canada, and Australia. However, it is experimental in the United States because it is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Efficacy of Intravenous Immunoglobulin in Patients With Hemorrhagic Fever With Renal Syndrome: a...

HFRS (Hemorrhagic Fever With Renal Syndrome)

The goal of this randomized study to test the efficacy of different doses of IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) in the treatment of severe HFRS(hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome), and provide new clinical ideas for the treatment and prognosis of HFRS patients in the future. This study will include all hospitalized patients with confirmed severe or critically ill HFRS from October 2021 to October 2023 from 9 centers. Participants will receive IVIG 10g/d or IVIG 20g/d. All the participants will be given conventional liquid therapy and symptomatic and supportive treatment. Participants will be collected demographic, epidemiological history, hospitalization information, clinical data, laboratory data, imaging results, treatment regimens, and outcomes data.
