The Efficacy of an Occluding Dentifrice in Providing Relief From Dentinal Hypersensitivity (DH)...
Dentin SensitivityThis single center study will investigate the efficacy of an experimental stannous fluoride containing dentifrice in relieving DH compared with a standard fluoride dentifrice after short term use.
Assessment of Different Protocols for Cervical Dentin Hypersensitivity Treatment
Hypersensitivity DentinDentin Sensitivity2 moreThe aim of this study is through a randomized clinical trial, double blind, splith-mouth, evaluate the various types of protocols and clinical efficacy in the reduction or even elimination of dentinal hypersensitivity by the agents Desensibilize KF - FGM Dental Products, Clinpro - 3M Company, Minnesota - USA, Photon Laser III - DMC, Brazil, Desensibilize KF and laser, Desensibilize KF and Clinpro, laser and Clinpro and the association of all products. Data will be collected, tabulated and submitted to statistical analysis.
Dose Response of a Tubule Occlusion Agent
Dentine HypersensitivityDental PainTo evaluate the efficacy of two different concentrations of a tubule occlusion agent - calcium sodium phosphosilicate in treatment of dentine hypersensitivity
CPP-ACPF and Laser's Effect on Dentin Hypersensitivity
Dentin SensitivityThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of casein phosphopeptide amorphous calcium phosphate fluoride paste (CPP-ACPF) associated with low level laser therapy (LLLT) in the symptomatology and on the quality of life of the individuals with dentin hypersensitivity in a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. Volunteers 18 to 50 years old with hypersensitive teeth were randomized into 4 groups: GPlacebo - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + placebo dentifrice; GCPPACPF - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + CPP-ACPF application; GLaser - laser tip positioning with light emission + placebo dentifrice; GLaserCPPACPF - positioning and light emission of the laser beam + CPP-ACPF.
Effect of Nano-hydroxyapatite and LASER on Dentin Hypersensitivity
Dentin SensitivityThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of nanohydroxyapatite associated with low potency laser therapy in eliminating or reducing dentin hypersensitivity in a randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. Volunteers 18 to 50 years old with hypersensitive teeth were randomized into 4 groups: GPLACEBO - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + placebo dentifrice; GnHAP - positioning of the laser tip without light emission + nano-hydroxyapatite; GLASER - laser tip positioning with light emission + placebo substance; GLASERnHAP - positioning by laser beam with light emission + nano-hydroxyapatite.
Fluoride Therapies on Hypersensitive Carious Lesions in Primary Teeth
Dentin HypersensitivityActive Dental CariesThis observational cohort study aims to evaluate the short-term (3 months) efficacy of the standard fluoride therapy in the German National Health System for managing hypersensitive carious lesions in primary teeth (fluoride varnish application), and further compare it to a different fluoride therapy utilizing a silver-containing fluoride agent combined with potassium iodide solution.
Comparison Of The Effect Of Propolis And Gluma Desensitizer On The Management Of Dentin Hypersensitivity...
Dentin HypersensitivityObjective The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of Propolis and Gluma desensitizer on the management of Dentin Hypersensitivity Methods Patients with dentin hypersensitivity exhibiting pain scores of at least '2' on the visual analog scale (VAS) were included in the study. Patient's response to an air blast stimulus was noted on Visual Analogue Scale and Schiff's scale in order to record the degree of hypersensitivity of teeth. There were 80 teeth, 40 in each group. The baseline scores were obtained. Propolis and Gluma desensitizer were randomly applied to each hypersensitive tooth. VAS scores and Schiff's sensitivity score for air blast stimulus were then noted at baseline, immediate, after 1 week and then after 1 month of application.
The Effects of Different Dentin Hypersensitivity Treatment Methods on Quality of Life
Dentin HypersensitivityThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a self etch adhesive resin and two desensitizing agents(Calcium phosphate, 5% glutaraldehyde) in treatment of dentin hypersensitivity on the quality of life of individuals.
