Non-inflammatory Degenerative Joint DiseaseOsteoarthritis1 moreThe primary objective of this investigation is to evaluate survivorship at ten years. For this post approval study (PAS), a maximum acceptable hazard of revision is assumed to be a constant 1% per year.

Effectiveness of Two Hyaluronic Acids in Osteoarthritis of the Knee
Knee OsteoarthritisThe purpose of this study is to assess whether a single injection hyaluronic acid (HA) product is not inferior to a 3 injection HA product at 24 weeks (6 months), in terms of effectiveness in reducing pain when walking in patients suffering from symptomatic tibiofemoral osteoarthritis of the knee.

Inflammatory Response Following Intraarticular Fracture
Intraarticular Fracture and Post-traumatic OsteoarthritisThe purpose of the study is to investigate a relationship between the inflammatory response following intraarticular fracture and post-traumatic osteoarthritis. The investigators plan to evaluate the inflammatory cytokine profile in knee joint synovial fluid and blood serum in patients who sustain an intraarticular tibial plateau fracture and ankle joint synovial fluid and blood serum in patients who sustain an intraarticular tibial plafond fracture. This information will be combined with radiographs and patient outcome measures to determine a correlation between intraarticular inflammatory response and post-traumatic osteoarthritis.

Evaluation of Effectiveness and Tolerability of Tapentadol Hydrochloride in Subjects With Severe...
Chronic PainOsteoarthritisThe main objective of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness, tolerability, and safety of tapentadol hydrochloride prolonged release (PR) in participants suffering from severe chronic pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee who are taking WHO Step III analgesics and show lack of tolerability. This is a clinical effectiveness trial designed to establish a link between anticipated clinical outcomes and the clinical practice by means of selected measures of clinical and subject-reported outcome. The trial will compare the effectiveness of previous analgesic treatment (WHO Step III) with that of tapentadol hydrochloride PR treatment during defined periods of evaluation.

OsteoarthritisPainThe purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of a single intravenous dose of MEDI-578, a monoclonal antibody, in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee. It will also be evaluated how MEDI-578 is absorbed and distributed through the body.

Multi-centre Study to Assess Long-term Safety and Efficacy of the Silent™ Hip Prosthesis in Primary...
OsteoarthritisThe purpose of this study is to determine if the Silent™ hip is effective in the treatment of patients with hip joint disease requiring a total hip replacement. Patients who enter the study will be evaluated at regular intervals following hip surgery using patient, clinical and x-ray assessments. A subset of patients will undergo scans to allow the bone mineral density of the bone surrounding the implant to be monitored
