Phase 2a Desipramine in Small Cell Lung Cancer and Other High-Grade Neuroendocrine Tumors
Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC)Neuroendocrine TumorsIntrapatient dose escalation study of desipramine in subjects with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and other high-grade neuroendocrine tumors.

Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) Versus Sublobar Resection for High-Risk Patients Non-Small...
Lung NeoplasmsThis randomized phase II trial is for medically inoperable early stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. It is designed to compare the number of patients who are disease free and alive at 2 years between Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) and surgical intervention arms. SBRT is less invasive and felt to be equally effective to surgery for early stage NSCLC. Surgery is currently the standard of care for these patients. The hypothesis of this study is that SBRT is at least as good as surgery for disease free survival at 2 years.

Study to Evaluate Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Efficacy of Rociletinib (CO-1686) in Previously...
Locally Advanced or Metastatic Non Small Cell Lung CancerRociletinib is a novel, potent, small molecule irreversible tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that selectively targets mutant forms of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) while sparing wild-type (WT) EGFR. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the pharmacokinetic (PK) and safety profile of oral rociletinib; to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) and/or recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) of oral rociletinib; to assess the safety and efficacy of rociletinib in previously treated NSCLC patients known to have the T790M EGFR mutation.

Phase 1 Erlotinib and Dovitinib (TKI258) in Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)
Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)Recurrent2 moreThis phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of giving erlotinib and dovitinib together to treat patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. Erlotinib blocks the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and has known activity in non-small cell lung cancer and dovitinib blocks the fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR) and other targets which may be important to treat lung cancer. The combination of both drugs may work better than either drug alone, but may also have increased side effects. This trial will look at the side effects of combining the drugs and look for how effective the combination may be.

The Safety and Efficacy of Pemetrexed Rechallenge With Bevacizumab
Advanced Non-small Cell Lung CancerFor patients with nonsquamous NSCLC and a good performance status (PS), pemetrexed and cisplatin has been recommended for first-line NSCLC treatment. Recently, results from the PARAMOUNT trial showed that patients with nonsquamous NSCLC who had a good PS and had not progressed after completing four cycles of pemetrexed-cisplatin induction therapy benefitted from pemetrexed continuation maintenance therapy. Furthermore, pemetrexed with bevacizumab continuous maintenance might be better treatment option, considering the results from AVAPEARL trial. Pemetrexed rechallenge has been reported to be effective in some patients. Therefore, in order to investigate the safety and efficacy of pemetrexed rechallenge with bevacizumab,we conducted this study.

Dose-Dense Induction/Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy in Locally Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Non-small Cell Lung CancerDose-dense chemotherapy is a chemotherapy treatment plan in which drugs are given with less time between treatments than in standard chemotherapy. The two chemotherapy drugs used in this study, docetaxel and cisplatin, are approved for the treatment of lung cancer when given every 21 days. This study is exploring the response to chemotherapy when these drugs are given every 14 days. In addition, genetic tests will be performed on pre-treatment specimens to identify signatures that may predict chemotherapy sensitivity or resistance.

Irinotecan for Previously Treated, Advanced, Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Non-small Cell Lung CancerCertain genetic factors can affect a patient's potential sensitivity to therapeutic drugs and other agents. There is a factor called ISG15 which might help doctors better identify patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors may be more sensitive to the drug called Irinotecan. This factor is elevated in roughly 30% of NSCLC cases. Irinotecan is an agent that inhibits the enzyme called topoisomerase I that is involved in cell growth, and it has been FDA approved for 17 years for another type of cancer.

Pioglitazone Hydrochloride in Treating Patients With Stage IA-IIIA Non-small Cell Lung Cancer
Stage IA Non-Small Cell Lung CarcinomaStage IB Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma3 moreThis pilot phase II trial studies how well pioglitazone works in treating patients with stage IA-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer. Pioglitazone hydrochloride may slow the growth of tumor cells and may be an effective treatment for non-small cell lung cancer.

Study Using a Genomic Predictor of Platinum Resistance to Guide Therapy in Stage IIIB/IV Non-Small...
Non Small Cell Lung CancerIn this trial, subjects with chemo-naive advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) were assigned to chemotherapy using a genomic-based predictor for platinum sensitivity. After an amendment dated 1/25/2010, subjects with squamous cell NSCLC sensitive to cisplatin received cisplatin/gemcitabine and if resistant to cisplatin received docetaxel/gemcitabine. Subjects with non-squamous cell NSCLC sensitive to cisplatin received cisplatin/pemetrexed and if resistant to cisplatin received pemetrexed/gemcitabine. The primary objective of this trial was to prospectively validate the genomic-based prediction model through separate evaluation of the one-year progression-free survival (PFS) of the cisplatin-sensitive and cisplatin-resistant cohorts. Secondary objectives included: assessment of overall time to progressive disease, quality of life and evaluation of drug sensitivity patterns of cisplatin and pemetrexed.

Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy and Bevacizumab in Patients With Unresectable Stage III Non-Small-Cell...
Lung CancerThe purpose of this study is to see if this combination of chemotherapy plus radiation therapy and immunotherapy (with bevacizumab) expands treatment options for patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
