A prospective, open-label, randomized controlled clinical trial to compare the benefits and risks of half-dose or standard-dose conjugated equine estrogens(CEE) plus natural progesterone or dydrogesterone in menopausal hormone therapy .

This study aims to assess the relationship between overall satisfaction with treatment in a group of randomized patients undergoing elective hand surgery using either absorbable (4-0 Chromic) or non-absorbable (5-0 Nylon) sutures. The investigators will also assess factors associated with wound concerns, pain intensity, magnitude of limitations, and physical function within one month of surgery.

Shoulder pain in people with spinal cord injury is one of the most prevalent in acute and chronic patients because of weakness in shoulder periarticular muscles, and also because of overuse of these part of the body in assistive devices. This study aims to evidence if dry needling (a physiotherapy technique) is also useful in patients with spinal cord injury, and how long it could hold out without or less pain.

Wild-type transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis is an underdiagnosed depository disease in which fibril monomers of misfolded amyloid protein accumulates in various tissues, including the heart, and cause tissue dysfunction. Before onset of cardiac symptoms, many patients will have undergone surgery for idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome since the protein also deposits in the transversal carpal ligament of the hand. This study investigates patients previously operated for idiopathic carpal tunnel syndrome to determine if they display signs and symptoms of cardiac amyloidosis.

The myofascial points within the trapezius muscle are hypoechogenic regions that can be depicted via ultrasound imaging. In this study we aimed to demonstrate the hypoechogenic regions within the trapezius muscle and to determine if physical therapy modalities change the appearance and size of these areas. We also wanted to explore if the presence of these areas correlate with pain.

Currently Morphine and or Methadone are the most commonly used drugs in the treatment for NAS along with supportive care. Many care providers offer tolerance "low lactose" formula to these infants to alleviate gastrointestinal symptoms. There are no clinical studies to support this practice and it is currently unknown that low lactose formula really helps or not in management of NAS. This is a Randomized Double Blind Clinical Trial to assess the role of low lactose formula versus standard (regular) formula in managing NAS.

The study included 100 female diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. They were classified into 2 groups: Study group included 50 women will receive 300.000 I.U single dose of Vitamin D intramuscular injection (Memphis company) , and in the next menstrual cycle induction done by clomiphen citrate 100mg daily for 5 days starting from third day of menstruation and HMG single dose on 8th day . Control group included 50 women will receive only clomiphen citrate 100mg daily for 5 days starting from third day of menstruation and HMG single dose on 8th day. Serum 25 hydroxy Vitamin D3, Serum Leptin and FSH will be done to all women before and after intervention.

In suspected facet joints pain, it is recommended to perform nerve blocks to establish the diagnosis with positive results being and indicator of successful of most permanent treatment of facet pain by rhizolysis. Nevertheless, the usefulness of intraarticular joint injection for diagnosis and prediction of successful neurolysis have been scarcely studied. The main purpose of this trial is to compare both methods, nerve block and intra articular injection, in diagnosis and treatment of facet joints pain.

This experiment is expected to understand the benefits of different settings of electrical stimulation in the treatment of overactive bladder.

Pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome (PARDS) is a severe and diffuse lung injury that is a common cause of admission and mortality in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). PARDS can be secondary to many different causes, and there are few therapies that have been shown beneficial in PARDS. This study seeks to identify important PARDS subtypes using gene expression profiling of bronchial epithelial cells from control and PARDS subjects.
